Of the A/C, or generator? Didn’t notice any difference inside, the generator was normal level with just the fan, but when the compressor kicked on, the generator was bearing down. Double the noise.

I meant inside, no difference between this unit and a larger one. I wear hearing aids and although it's pretty quite when I don't have them in except for the tinnitus. When I do have them in the A/C is like a helicopter landing on the roof. Just curious not important. Great report, Thanks

This is my first RV AC. I didn't have one before because I bought it in Alaska, and didn't have this heat, and Mama was OK with it[emoticon], so I can't compare the noise. I can say that it is a lot quieter than I expected. Given that the fan stays blowing, when the compressor kicks on, there is not much of a noise change. I have yet to camp in it, but I have a feeling it will disturb my sleep less than the heater. I will get some numbers in a day or two.

I just started the 2000 in normal run mode, let it warm up a bit, then plugged in. I left it on normal/non Eco mode the whole time. I will also run it again in Eco mode and see how it does.

OK, numbers off the 30amp plug, using DMM:

Just Fan - LO - .562 / MED .594 / HIGH .620

Compressor - Avg around 7.5-7.6. with MED and HIGH FAN

I have to watch more YouTube before checking the volts. I will also run it again off of the Honda 2000 and use Eco mode this time.

Cyclepath, thanks for doing the initial Amps for us! I would think that a Honda 2000 can start this AC in eco mode... How did you tap into the ac power? A clamp on sensor I presume. Good job!
Can not wait for the 2000 test on eco on cold start and it cycling a few times.
When you do it could you do the following:

Running in eco, compressor working, turn the 2000 to non eco and listen for the increase of rpm. I think at 7 amps that the 2000 should be at about 1/2 speed..

I am excited about this AC unit. I do hope it performs for you and others that already have it and are willing to tell us their findings.

Hello, Jim. I tapped into the hot line at the ceiling ac box with my multimeter. Just took the wire nut off and attached the red to the line side and black to the work side. I have to review the procedure to check volts. I put the black on the ground wire, and the red on the hot wire. Was reading .060. I was assuming that was not right. I have a UNI-T clamp meter arriving Wed from Amazon. I will run the numbers with that when I get it, and also run it on the 2000.

Did good doing the AC current... Got the red lead put into the 10 amp plug on the meter and set the dial to the 10 amp position but it looks like your DVM auto ranges.. nice!.

AC is pretty easy. Put the red probe back onto the main V O A plug, set the meter to read AC 200vdc,unless your meter auto ranges, and you can put the Red and black test leads on the black and white wires. No polarity to worry about.

If you go to the ground wire you have to use the other lead and put it on the black wire which is hot, or should be...hahahaa.
If you measure from the white wire to the ground then you will get a small reading sometimes. Usually it should read 0 volts, otherwise it will trip a GFI.... That is probably the .6 reading.

OK, works on the Honda with Eco mode. With the compressor on, and fan on high, it kicks it up to maybe half way to full power. The soft start feature helps with that. No volts as of yet. I am liking this unit. Thanks.

Wow, that is great news.. I like the 1/2 way to full power.. So the Gen is not stressed!

Thanks for testing!

Would be nice if someone could use a Killowatt meter or the clamp on Amp meter to get a true amps rating and wattage under cooling mode.
Cyclepath did an inline amps test that looks like a good reading. 7.5 amps is quite a ways below the spec for cooling that Rec Pro states.
