Cyclepath did an inline amps test that looks like a good reading. 7.5 amps is quite a ways below the spec for cooling that Rec Pro states.

I did post that data a page back.
I have 13.5k unit and it takes 9 amps.

I did run the amps with a clamp on meter this time. Got the same readings as with the DMM.

Great, thanks so much..
I have to do some roof measurements to see if I can get the AC to fit.
My Bigfoot has a skylight and 2 vents... I think I can get it to fit in the middle between the front vent a fantastic fan and the skylight..
If it fits I am going to get one... Amazon has them... The great thing about Amazon is if we do not like it or it does not run we can just take it down to a drop off site.

The Mach 8 Cub
Model 47201R876
9,200 BTU
Plenty of cooling for a TC or small trailer.
The compressor fan and the interior fan are two different motors so one shuts off when not "compressing".
I run it easily off a Ryobi 2200i inverter generator on the eco-mode. It will run the AC 11.5 hours typically on one tank of on-board gas. I think it is 1 gallon or 1.5 gallons.
Parts for the AC are easy to find at 1,000's of RV stores and sites across the country.
Why are you considering this other brand?

I was considering Mach 8, but that was a year ago, so don't remember all specifics, but I think it was taller than RecPro and for me that was crucial.
As this thread shows, I learned about some features after installation, what is nice surprise.
Would be nice to find both AC side by side and somebody with decibel meter to compare.
I downloaded decibel meter app on my android, but my wife made me to delete it. From few measurements the app wasn't too reliable.

How far back does the unit project from the 14” opening? Af put a skylight in directly behind the ac unit so it limits what I can do.
