And then we get to the next area, that held some of that steel in place.
This is the emergency brake, and bracket, that was screwed to the steel frame by 2 screws.
There were a total of 6 screws holding the emergency brake bracket in place, 4 which were screwed into plywood, (more on that later), and these 2 into the steel.
If you want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don't, you will find an excuse.

The next part of the steel frame, forward of the last one, (remember, there are 2 on this side, and only 1 on the passenger side), has screws going through a piece of steel, which is fastened to the framing for the dash, so these screws came out also.

Inside, the ugly brown trim in the corner, around the windshield, has a few screws that also are screwed into the steel frame. These were removed to allow the framing to come out.

Then there are a couple of screws that hold the front storage area in place that are also screwed into the side steel framing.
Removing these 2, and we are about ready to cut steel.

As you can see here, the top of the steel has been cut, and I am trying to remove the steel, and low and behold, there are wires which are screwed to the front of the frame, which hold the steel from coming out.
After removing that, then the steel came off. Yay!!!!!!!

So, now I can cut replacements, lay them on top of these current pieces as a pattern, just like the other side, and after a couple of coats of Por 15, I can then weld the replacement, back into place.
Yee Haw!!!!!

Here is a pic of the top of the framing, that I removed. This is the piece that runs along the front cap up to the top of the sidewall framing.
These 2 arrows indicate where these 2 are welded together. In this view, the right side is not welded, nor is the back side.
I cut this a little long, so that I could trim it later.
The white fiberglass to the right runs all the way to the other side of the rv, and I will not be using it, so that is why I cut a hole in it.
