And by the way, the door is heavy. I put it on the scale, and it weighs about 85 lbs.

So, it would probably be in your best interest to have help when removing this.

And now, we have another paper towel.

This time, it has been painted with Por 15. The rust preventive paint.

I also put 2 grommets in this paper towel.

Anybody want to guess, how much weight this will hold with the paint on it?

Answer, tomorrow. [emoticon]

Ok. Got a bunch of pics to post tonight.

Starting off with the answer to the question - how much weight can a paper towel hold with Por 15 painted on it?

You remember from an earlier pic, we have 21.95 oz that broke the paper towel only.

Alright then. Another bump up. 176.95 oz.

Just doing a little math, and we turn 176.95 oz into 11.059 pounds.

So, where is the breaking point? I dunno yet. This is as high as this scale goes. If I add any more weight, I get an OL (overload) error.

Even so, I don't know about you, but that seems kinda impressive to me. We aren't talking about fiberglass here, just a paper towel. Bounty though....

Hang one of those gold bricks I saw in the background of one of your pictures on it. Those are pretty heavy.

Ok, back to the motor home.

We are back to removing the door, and aluminum door frame.

As you can see in the pic, the blue circle shows the aluminum part of the door frame. Everything else seemed loose, but it still would not come off.

Looking inside, under the dash, I found 3 screws, going through plywood, into the aluminum framing.

After removing these three screws, in addition to all of the screws on the outside, AND, the screws back by the latch - those are screwed into the steel frame - I forgot to get a pic there. Then, and only then, did the door and aluminum frame come off.

When the door started to move, I wasn't fully prepared, and was slightly off balance. It almost took me down. It didn't, with my lightning fast reflexes - Lol - I was able to stay on my feet.
