When the task starts to seem overwhelming and you start to get discouraged, keep in mind the age old question;

How do you eat an elephant?

One bite at a time.

There are 24 hours in every day - it all depends on how you choose to use them.

Haven't felt that way for quite a while. Most of that was earlier on when I was tearing things apart.

I kept thinking, it can't get much worse. Lol. Yea, right.

Once I started welding in new pieces, and could see progress, it became easier and easier.

So much so, that, even considering moving the entry door didn't look like a major job any more. I didn't end up moving it, but I wasn't overwhelmed about the process of doing it.

I'm not sure how many others out there may be attempting something like this, on some level. Maybe not the level of destruction that I encountered, but looking at the results, it's easy to see that it is do-able, if you are willing to invest some time and money.

Yes, it was an old motor home, but the chassis foundation is solid, so in the end, we should have a home that suits our style of traveling.

The way I see it, I have 2 choices. I can either adjust to the rig, or I can adjust the rig to me. I chose the latter.

Is it a job for everyone? Probably not.

However, for the adventurous - have a blast.

Went to the local Wally World today, and while looking for some other things, I stumbled onto an 8 qt mixing bowl.

After looking at it for a few seconds, I thought, that could make great bathroom sink.

Best part is that is was less than $12.

Cutting a hole in the bottom isn't hard, and with a little thought, adding the slight indentation at the bottom for the drain, also isn't difficult.

But then again, if someone is really on a budget - we could downsize just a little bit......

Here's a 5 qt one for even less money. Not quite as large in diameter, and not quite as deep, but still functional for the bathroom.

And right there is why conversion costs can vary by a very large amount.

Using a little thinking outside the box, can be a really good thing.

While we were out tonight, we passed a house whose owners were obviously enjoying the Christmas Spirit.

The large Frosty the Snowman, was probably about 15' high, or maybe a touch more.

So, my order of white shrink tape from Amazon came today.

Did I mention, I like that stuff?

So, we can add another $24.46 onto our already total of $1246.38, for a new grand total of $1270.84.

Shouldn't be too much longer and we can start spending money on some insulation and sub flooring.

It'll be great to be able to have a nice flat floor to stand on while working on the inside of the coach. Yay!!!
