Sounds like you don't want a BBQ you want a stove! LOL
Lol... Who wants to cook in their living room tho? I hate to admit it but when it comes to cooking something in a pot, I miss the Road Trip but that's as far as it goes.
I have a 40'TT and the living room is the living room , kitchen is a kitchen. Case solved. I do cook outside on my grill almost daily but then we use our TT for at least 6 months a year. different strokes.

If you decide to go propane, there are small tanks available in the 1-2 gal range. They take up very little space and are less expensive that the 1 lb. bottles. We grill out quite a bit and our little tank has worked fine for 9 + years of fulltime travel. I do keep a 1 lb. bottle for, just in case.

Thermos Grill-2-Go. I think they do not make them anymore. It is a "griddle" as opposed to an open flame grill. Very lightweight, and extraordinarily easy to use and clean. Uses the small 1 pound propane bottles. We use it for breakfast / lunch / dinner depending on what we are having. Ours is getting on in age, and I don't look forward to the day we need to buy something to replace it.
It is not great for cooking a steak, but for most other things it works fine. Plus, everything tastes great when camping anyways!
When we bought our TT (13 years ago now! Hard to believe), it came with the small camper propane grill that attaches to the side of the camper and uses propane from a valve under the camper (from the campers big tanks). It was horrible. Besides filling under the awning - and subsequently into the camper - with smoke, it just didn't get that hot and did not cook well. I gave up on it after two seasons.
I am a bit too lazy for the setup and cleanup of smokers and charcoal / wood grills, but I love to be invited over to those who use them!

that is why when I bought my plug in grill it came with a mounting bracket which I never installed. sticking a grill on the side of a RV seems sort of silly to me. heat/grease/smoke and can't move it to a better location?

My babyQ has its own stand/cart that folds and takes up little space I also have a 10' hose that attaches under the trailer off the big tanks. I can move the grill around depending on weather or wind.

I like my Weber Q200. It's a little heavy but does a good job.

one suggestion in looking for a grill. If it doesn't have a cast iron grilling surface you don't want it.. My Baby Q gets about a 8 minute heat up then I sear the meat and dial down for a nice cook. Just saying.
