We use a George Foreman electric BBQ works great and with removable grill easy to clean. We also have a coleman Gas grill but have never used it.

I know gasp no charcoal or gas! Hey it works for us[emoticon]

Well.... I will not be able to give an update on how cleaning the RoadTrip grill is when using water!

Just received a Weber Q220 form my wife and boys for my birthday!!! One of those, "It was meant to be" moments I guess. Told my wife about a somewhat local hardware store (about an hour away) that had the 220 advertised for $150. on Craigslist, and my wife was working maybe 10-15 minutes from there the next day, so she bought one for me.

We have a camping trip planned for Father's Day W/e, so will have a chance to try the Q out then.

The vast majority of retired types that frequent RV parks across the USA use a baby Q Weber. It is hands down the most popular. Also a tee off of the main gas line to a good location (again on near the awning for the gas hook up is most popular . You do have to remove the regulator from the grill and have a quick disconnect. Again available at most RV centers or of course campers world if you don't mind paying a few bucks more.

It must be time to go, the suns out and I've got a full tank of diesel!
We have a granite fireplace hearth! Love to be a little different.

I think it would be more accurate to say that the vast majority of those who use a propane BBQ . . . . .

The Weber I use is great. It's black, sort of rectangular with a lid and works off the small screw on propane tanks. There are several sizes and mine was around $100. Only problem is that aren't tall enough to do something large like a chicken. Great for steaks, chops, pieces of chicken and I have done a small roast in foil.

We have used one of these for ten years camping. On number two. My 14yo grills mean breakfast sausages and brats on it.

Have tried dozens of them, my latest is an Amazon #205 Stainless suitcase attached to a 5 gal propane tank with a 6' hose. Going to try this setup at Pismo Beach. My last BBQ rusted so bad I threw it in the trash when I got home. So far using it at home is great, it cooks very well after a few cooks in it to season the grill so to speak.

I like how the #205 folds up nice and tight, perfect for camping.

4 Stars.....

I used to see all the raves about Weber Qs and was a bit skeptical. We had a RoadTrip for several years and eventually got sick and tired of it's design flaws and substandard quality. Got a brand new, still in the box Q1200 off CL for about 1/2 the cost of a store-bought one. The Webers are definitely well-built and now I understand all the positive reviews. We use a BBQ a lot and rarely use the cooktop inside.

However, there are a few things about the Weber I don't like are:

It is taller and to get it into the pass-through compartment I have to remove the hinge pins and put the lid back on when the lower 1/2 is in, you can't boil water in a pot and there isn't a full size grate for it (it would block the air flow too much) and to use a frying pan, you have to partially close the lid.

Weber or someone would do well to design a BBQ tailored specifically for RV-ers.

Sounds like you don't want a BBQ you want a stove! LOL

Wbwer Q200. Fits in the basement with the stand attached, just a bit awkward to get in or out. As myredracer said, not really good for cooking with a pan or pot. Have a 2 burner propane cooktop from HF and a single burner induction top for pots and pans. Usually, I'm grilling outside while DW is preparing the "sides" inside using stove or microwave.

Lol... Who wants to cook in their living room tho? I hate to admit it but when it comes to cooking something in a pot, I miss the Road Trip but that's as far as it goes.
