Many choices, really comes down to your personal preference. One thing to consider when hooking to T on trailer tanks or the quick connect on the trailer, the hose can become a safety hazard if people are going by between the bbq/grill and trailer. I have both setups (quick connect and T, both came with trailer), but we use an extra 20# tank to run big campstove, bbq, propane lantern, propane fire (when wood fires are illegal due to high fire danger). I can refill the disposable cylinders if needed also.

I like to have all the cooking and food stuff inside screen tent to keep the bugs from bothering us.

I've been using Char Broil Grill2Go X200. Selected because it was the largest that would fit in one of my outside compartments. It is the smokiest gas grill I've used-it smokes so much some people chuckle at it. It seems to cook well, and stuff has a good flavor for a gas grill. So far it has been sturdy. Weak point with them is supposedly the gas regulator.

I just picked one of these up. Supposed to be an infrared type of cooker. Will see. +1 on the regulator. I like it because the igniter is hidden, and it is small and light weight. The propane bottle can also be stored inside of it, once it is cooled and lceaned of course. [emoticon]

The Weber Baby Q can't be beat for two people. We've used ours for years.

We've used several different grills. Latest is a coleman. When I want to use the propane on the trailer, I just disconnect the second tank and use it wherever I setup my grill. Takes 1 minute to disconnect and move to the grill location. No need to haul another tank.

Some folks think that's taboo, and you shouldn't disconnect the extra tank and use it. Don't know why they think that way.. it works fine, and again, takes one minute to do (I timed it).

I use a Son Of Hibachi. Not suitable for proper slow BBQ, but grilling up burgers and the like works great. The fire proof storage bag allows me to put it away in the bag right after use and it'll snuff out in short order.

We use both the disposable cartridges or one of the propane tank on the trailer as needed. We normally place the grill on a portable table or campground table and place the propane tank nearby (within 10') using a 10' propane hose. We don't use the propane line they provided as we DO NOT LIKE HAVING THE GRILL ANYWHERE NEAR THE TRAILER.. For safety reasons, we just prefer not having a BBQ grill near the trailer.
To answer what brand BBQ we have, it is a Weber Q1000 which is small enough to store in the trailer compartment.

If you are using the proper hoses/fittings I don't know why you would be worried about using it close to the trailer. I have a gas powered outside kitchen with a stove, most trailers have indoor stoves, ovens, refrig, etc. I have a quick disconnect hose that hooks up to a pre-plumbed gas line to hook up my Q200 that I set up right next to my outdoor kitchen. It's all perfectly safe and designed to use this way.

I don't want the grease/smoke/heat against the side of my rV.

Did someone say the Char Broil is smokey? LOL Got to use it for the first time on our shakedown cruise. Yep it smokes alright, but it cooks well too, and not at high either. It gets hot quickly, and will cook at the lowest setting, otherwise it will burn. Would be nice to convert it to use the low pressure from the trailer, mine has a factory installed connection for a grill at the back. I figure I can get about 4-5 grilling sessions per 1# bottle. I like that I can store the bottle inside the grill and lock it.
