Does anyone know of a Mobile RV Service in the Three Rivers/Kenedy/Pleasanton area? Platinum RV Service seems to be no longer in business. Would be good to know if we need anything while we are out here!

I looked a few weeks ago and found NO one close by. Found one in Victoria and one in Hondo, both of which will come out here, but it cost. The one in Victoria has us on his standby list, so when he gets another service call or two, here in the Three Rivers, George West area, he will take care of us.

This probably won't help in the Three Rivers area but sometimes these folks know of others who do the same job. We had a highly recommended man come and install a converter in our m/h in Gonzales that I bought at South TX RV in Seguin. I know he covers a fairly wide area but probably not that far South. Try calling John Powell at 830-221-5562. He is extremely reasonable and knows multiple systems; just maybe too far North for you, not sure.

I called Micheal in Seguin (830-237-8731) about our washer/dryer. He said they have a lot of work in this area and are down here quite often. He is going to get my part and install it early next week. Said his regular service call is $125 but he is going to set me up when he has another call close and won't charge much for the service call.

Thanks fellow Gate Guards for all the mobile rv service info!!
One more to add to the list...We talked to Happy Trails Mobile RV Service - 361-482-8543. They are located down south, but come to this area about one day a week. He is pretty booked right now because of being off for the Thanksgiving holiday, but will get to us probably next week. We have 2 outlets that quit working last week and our front heat pump that was replaced in the spring is acting up.

It sure has been quiet on here...how is everyone doing?
We should have moved by now but first we had a gas blow-out that they had trouble containing. Then when putting in casing pipe to contain the gas, they dropped a pipe in the hole(really bad). It took almost a week for the experts to fish it out. Finally after two more gas blow-outs,(one blowing mud 60 ft in the air)the gas has been contained and we should be back to drilling Monday. Today we are getting truck loads of smaller drilling pipe that will have to be used inside of the original drilling pipe. We are on our second month here and are now scheduled to be finished right at Christmas. But, all being said this has been a low traffic gate. We had pratically no one during the rains, just rig hands going in and out!!

It is a muddy mess here....LOL. They are working today and next Sunday, so they can have 4 days off at Christmas off. They are currently a month behind schedule, which suits us fine. Another month behind and we will just go home mid May, when they close this gate....Love it.

Our drilling rig has been gone for 2 weeks, fracking supposed to start but have seen no sign of them. The drilling rig said they would be back toward the end of January. For the last 2 weeks we have averaged 3 to 4 coming through the gate a day. A couple of days no one came through the gate. I guess when the fracking starts we will be busy again.
Have however seen a lot of wildlife coming up. Big Bobcat, haven't seen the couger for a while, havalina, and several deer.
It is pretty muddy around here too.

So I have a question about getting gates. Once one closes, does the company move you to a new one or do you have to wait in a CG till another needs you?

Thank you

Maybe yes, maybe no....LOL. The company we work for has compounds in several areas that have full hook ups if you have to wait a couple of days between gates, so no CG expenses. We have gone from gate to gate and we have spent as long as 10 days waiting, depending on needs. Then if you luck out, you get with a rig and follow it all winter, so again no down time. This winter we really lucked out and got a construction gate that will probably be our home for the full 7½ months we plan on being here.
