Kind of boring here now. The drilling rig got moved to Laredo and the last trucks moved out about 11 this morning. Nobody since, say the fracking crew should be here in about 1 week. The rig will be back sometime in January.

Well, we can't say it was boring today.....[emoticon]...We filled 8+ pages with traffic, between 6am and 6pm. Good thing Debbie relieved us yesterday, as she would have been busy today...[emoticon] Back to normal tomorrow, only 5 or 6 pages.

Where in SD are you from that you have never eaten Deer?

Seems they take good care of us. This ranch oil forman said he will bring us some nice cuts of Deer when the hunters leave some. We do not have a BIG refrig in the Born Free so he said well just have to bring the GOOD STUFF then.

Little BPatrol activity the last few days here but think they made it across HWY 468. I did not see anything.

We are from Indiana only use SD for mail forwarding as there was no mail forwarding in Indiana. We have been traveling for 6 years fulltime. Before that I worked for ALCOA in Lafayette, In for 38 years. 7 days a week 10-12 hours a day. We didn't even get holidays off so I never got to hunt.

On Black Gold, it is a wildcat drilling rig(small private company)and they have no gate guards..small budgets and less safety codes.
We are on a ConocoPhillips well being drilled by Trinidad Drilling. Conoco is huge on safety..everyone wears fire retardent suits, glasses, hard hats, etc. We have Conoco Safety people and Trinidad Safety people visiting the rig site daily. Also there would never be the fighting and horse-playing that you see on Black Gold. These are certainly much more professionaly ran rigs than Black Gold portrays...but it is an interesting show!

Soak the steaks in milk if you find the taste too strong.

[emoticon] I was sure you were not from SD originally but just kidding on why you never eat it. It can be strong but these are FED deer so should be better. I have always liked the sausage better. Sometimes mixed with pork or whatever the guy had on hand...LOL [emoticon]

Let us know on how you like it. Black Gold...WOW...yes, I have seen it and a new series just started. Does not show the better run safe units that most of us will be on.
