I Love tuxedo cats, as one was my first love as a child. Their black is so shiny and inky, their white literally as cool as snow. What a happy, useful life, Alex led. Congratulations on your promotion, sweet buddy. Job well done.

WLToo, Tall Friend and Short Friend dug a grave large enough for Alex and the ashes of Chessie and Madeline Kaht. Then they placed Alex' stone on top. Eventually, I will have stones made for Chessie, Madeline, and the kitty that was buried there before we bought the place.

WLToo said Spotacus is still pretty clingy. He spends a lot of nap time in my favorite chair, then lays up against WLToo in bed.
I did tell my cousin that the next time she's RVing down our way, it will be safe to bring her dogs. Shiva, Destroyer of Doggie Worlds will no longer call down the rage against them.
I do hope he's not giving General Missy any lip...

That's a very nice headstone. Give Spotacus extra loving or better yet, when you're ready, another Shiva. You could call her Ziva, as in NCIS.
I can only hope my headstone will be as nice. I have a sneaking suspicion that my ashes will be tossed in the garden with the leftover grill charcoal.

I am sure that General Missy will keep him busy preparing for the upcoming War Against the Dark Forces.

WLToo and Tall Friend are both sick with bronchitis. Short Friend is taking care of them both, and Spotacus is being very affectionate.
WLToo said Spotacus has a new trick: He sits and waits until WLToo looks at him and blinks, then dashes up into WLToo's lap and slams his head into WLToo's chin. I thought Spotacus' combat head bumps with me were bruising, but this could be downright painful...
It's probably time to induct Spotacus into DOTL. He could be a real bruiser in the upcoming War Against the Dark Forces. He's not real subtle, more the direct action type.
Meanwhile, three of the local cats here keep strolling across Mom's deck and peering into the door. They're clearing looking for Spotacus. Must have been some interesting outside meetings; the meets through the glass door usually resulted in cats smacking the glass, then the outdoor kitties running away, while Spotacus made a mad dash to whichever window he thought he'd see them through.
Mom's done with physical therapy visits, but is still doing all the exercises they gave her. Then she decided we needed to harvest pecans, so for the last two days, there's been a lot of reaching up to pull pecans off the limbs, bending over to pick them off the ground, and hauling buckets into the garage for later sorting and shelling. Mom's feeling pretty good about her ability to get around in the yard without a cane: she's perfectly normal when she doesn't think about walking and just walks.
I think we have about a bushel of pecans from two small trees, and that doesn't count the ones higher up that don't seem interested in falling off yet.
This weekend, we (well, me -- she'll supervise) will be trimming back the shrubs. That's when the temps go back into the 70s again. Today is only normal, in the 50s and breezy, so we'll do more inside stuff.
Speaking of which, it's past lunchtime.
Later, y'all.

It's good to hear your mom is improving. Sounds like you have plenty of pecans for upcoming pecan pies![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)
Are you sure that Spotacus isn't part Klingon - that's how Klingons greet each other at bars when they're hanging out with the guys. Sounds like Spotacus is a bit lonely.
Ka-plaah, Spotacus!!
"Spotacus" would be a great Klingon name. He could be the long lost brother to Worf and Kern.
