You might be allergic to latex which is sometimes used. Very common allergy.
I'm glad to hear you're heading home to the furry children. They do indeed provide the best medicine.

Hope you're home and doing well. Yes, those sensor stickies feel like they take a layer of epidermis with them when they're peeled off. Hope your cardiac meds have worked it out between themselves and your motor is running nice and steady.

Yes, let us know you're okay, please. Sometimes it is tricky, getting all those ticker meds balanced, but you can do it! I hope all is well!

I'm fine. WLToo is fine. Tall and Short Friends are fine. Cats are fine. Leoghaire is fine. Haven't seen Gimpy for a while now; Leoghaire doesn't bring friends to her feedings anymore. But if Gimpy shows up, I'll feed her; she took Leoghaire under her care when MDL died, and that's a good kind of deer mom.
Even the weather is fine - we've gotten over an inch of rain in the last couple weeks, plus a covering of pea sized hail last week that caused no damage, just looked like lumpy snow for about half an hour. Did far better than Sister, whose house and car were damaged by lemon-sized hail the other night.
Steinholz went to the dealer for warranty work a week ago last Tuesday. The heavy hailstorm clouds went over that location, but I don't think they got any hail, judging from the news. Storm seemed to have let all the hail out over Sister's town.
Had to report for possible jury duty the Monday after getting out of hospital. As I walked toward the courthouse, I got a text message that my favorite uncle (one of only 2 of 11 uncles still living) was going downhill fast. The cousins thought he wouldn't last the week. When the judge asked for folks to come explain why they couldn't sit on a jury that day, I just showed him the text - couldn't speak. But Uncle P rallied, and now is at home, in hospice care. Older brother visited last weekend; Uncle P is alert, but so very frail and gray.
Mom's brother (the last uncle) is enroute from Florida - this uncle's RV is what got us into RVing. Trying to figure out the followup doctors' appointments so we can pop up and see Uncle P one last time, but coordinating across cardiologists is proving difficult.
I'm now juror #2 for a call-up in Sep. Highly doubt I'll get selected, though. Never been selected for any jury. When in uniform, a lawyer would look at my Military Intelligence lapel brass, ask if I was Counterintelligence, and when I said yes, toss me on the spot. In the civilian world, in Virginia I'd send in the form and answer yes to the current/former law enforcement question, and they'd say thanks, please don't bother coming in. In Texas, even current/former LEO still have to come to the courthouse; the lawyers (and sometimes the judge) ask questions about what I did in CI (more curiosity than anything else), then toss me. Lawyers don't like trained investigators or intelligence analysts (WLToo) on juries - we can see through their evasive language, diversions and innuendo.
The wildflowers are not quite at their peak in our meadow, should be in a week or so. The rain really helped bring them out. Almost past bluebonnet peak, but there are still areas around here (not our meadow. Yet.) that are pure blue carpets. So incredibly beautiful.
Neighbor is building a retaining wall. The limestones are huge, and the stone company is delivering them to neighbors' property along the side of the road. He's being very artistic as he stacks them, so we all have something nice to look at until the stone goes into the wall.
The air conditioner service guy is here (preventive maintenance), and he's turned on the A/C, so I need to go put on some pants. 'Tis a mite nippy in here...
Later, y'all.

Last night, Short Friend had to take Tall Friend to the ER. He couldn't breathe well, has been coughing up real gag worthy gunk for weeks now, and a-fib kicked in.
This morning, all the tests came back normal. No infection, no pneumonia, all organs working fine except for the a-fib. They're stumped. He's going to see a pulmonologist next. We asked Short Friend if he's ever seen an allergist, since we all know he does have a couple allergies, and she's going to suggest that, too. Could just be a perfect storm of allergies, a cold, the extreme humidity, and a-fib, and all together it's not letting him heal up.
The extreme humidity is from two fronts that collided over us. Dropping rainfall amounts of 3-5" with over 7" in places, and continuing the next couple of days. We don't normally have this kind of humidity, so we're all feelin' kinda wilted.
Lunch is ready. Later, y'all.

We've gotten nearly 2" rain since yesterday. Flash flood warnings all over the area. May delay Short Friend getting over to the hospital to see Tall Friend. At least the rain has stopped for the moment over our property, so the barn swallows are happily gossiping away.
The doe herd tucked themselves up next to the house last night, not so close that the roof runoff hit them, but close enough for the warmth to reach them.
Alex decided he needed to be on the porch sofa while it rained last night. Spotacus was in his usual porch chair. Then the wind shifted and the rain blew on them both, so we had damp cat in bed with us. At least damp cat doesn't smell bad. Today, they're both just staying in bed.
A bit of sunlight is out. Heading outside to check for damage. Later, y'all.

We got off very light, magnusfide. Just rain, around 2". The folks east of I-35 caught the worst of it, Houston in particular. Makes us very glad we don't ever have to go there again.
Tall Friend came home from hospital today. We're all keeping a close eye on him, so he follows all the doctors' instructions.
Leoghaire is getting braver; she stepped up on the porch to look in the window. Isn't brave enough to get right up and breathe on the door window, though. We haven't cleaned muzzle marks off the door since MDL left us. WLToo thinks he saw her jump the fence this evening. If so, she's only recently begun doing that.
Alex is determined to sleep on my lap, but he's having dreams and clawing me. Both thighs look like I lost the cat fight. Even with trimmed claws, he can do some damage. I may be reduced to wearing jeans and turning on the air conditioner...
Spotacus had very little to do with me today. It was so much nicer outside that he stayed on his favorite chairs out there.
It's kind of warm; I'm going to sit outside with my Kindle and lighted reading glasses. Later, y'all.
