Not getting anything on the various adoption forums except emails that are so obviously bogus that they're not even amusing.
Please don't use Craigslist unless you get vet references and see the home he's going to. Avoid young men. Cat "thrill killers" are adopting free and cheap cats to.... well use your imagination.

It is just cuter than heck how Spot wormed his way into your home like he'd always been there. Some things are just meant to be.

Hey, if it works, it works. Sometimes things you'd never expect to work out, do. Can you pull the petfinder ad and put a stop to the emails?

Not going to pull the listings, will simply let them expire, on the off chance (snort) that someone else might take a shine to Spot. That will give WLToo time to recognize that Spot has made his choice, and it's WLToo...
As for the emails, after the first few days of fishing, to which I did not respond, they're rare now. Didn't get a "hit" that they could use...

He discovered the north porch yesterday, and decided laying on the chair next to me was a good deal. I read, he lounged.
I think he needs a family who will let him share the sofa or have his own chair. He just needs to be with people, not necessarily in the middle of them -- although he does like a good cuddle about once a day.
Okay everybody, given the first two paragraphs above, anyone giving odds that Wanderlost will keep Spot??
He's on the verge of being adopted by Spot.

Psst .. I don't want to tell Wanderlost that I told him so, but.... see above.
It's not easy being right about these human nature and animal events, lol!
The more time and effort one invests in an animal's welfare, over time a bond grows until it's too late to emotionally disengage and actually still be willing to give up said animal unless it was to it's rightful owner.
Wanderlost -- he's yours now just as I foresaw as I had you figured as a man with a tender heart. Where there's a will there's a way and you did it. Good job!

Wanderlost,
My cats would love a Class A! It would be so much easier that the 5th wheel for them... My little female rescue Noah (thought she was a male when I rescued her LOL) spent the night the last 2 nights inside and I think she will stay.. Seems to be working out well with my male Max... Noah is talkative too - especially at feeding time she will just start talking and talking and talking while you put the food in her bowl and it is so tiny it sounds like tiny barks of a dog... LOL So cute! She doesn't know how to meow I don't think... My male is such a gentleman that he just sits by the bowl till you see him and just looks at you... He'll sit by the door to go outside and he doesn't make a sound. He is so much more patient than me!

Ray, Spot prefers guys (I'm not one). He likes me, but really likes WLToo. They've been sitting in adjoining chairs on the porch today, watching the boats on the lake and the grass fire across the way (a controlled burn got out of control).
Yep, Spot's a guy's cat. WLToo just doesn't quite realize he's the guy...

WLToo made a casual statement this morning, that we should buy Spot a food dish similar to the ones for Alex and Bobbi. ![biggrin [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/biggrin.gif)
Oh, yeah--Spot's home for good.
Guess I'll have to call him the Christmas Cat now, since he came to us the Saturday before Christmas. But we're not changing his name to Noel or anything else; he's starting to answer to Spot.
Next up will be getting him chipped. Even though he doesn't go anywhere, our five acres being quite enough for him, we're not going to take a chance.
Spot and Bobbi woke me up very early this morning, playing tag on the cat tree. I'm very glad they're becoming such good friends. Being so close in age, versus Alex' fourteen years, they'll do very well together.
Alex is happy to ignore them both and spend his time on my lap or in the other recliner. He's still quite healthy and happy to climb trees, but he tires much faster than they do. It's so very hard to think of him as being an elderly cat, but when compared to the younger ones, it's obvious that he is.
Of course, we've also slowed down in the fourteen years since we rescued Alex. Ya know, this aging business is not for wimps...

So happy it is official!
When I got Tab, I was worried about my oldest, who was thirteen at the time. Sput found Boo annoying enough. But what happened was that Boo and Tab became fast friends and Boo actually left Sput alone more once he had a playmate. So Tabitha improved my cat dynamic. And then Mike came along and amazingly improved it still more. You never can tell.
