It's another three cat night here. Temps dropping to single digits and colder wind chill factor. All three piled on top of us last night; they're on the bed now, just waiting for us to get there so they can snuggle.
With three cats, not a chance of me getting cold.
Hope everyone else weathers this mess safely.

You mentioned in another post that he peed on the floor or a carpet. Cat experts suggest one litterbox pr cat plus a spare. Some cats don't want to use a box other cats already used. They can be picky little buggers. Also spread them out, don't keep the boxes all in one spot. It works great for us. No accidents so far. We have 3 cats and 4 litterboxes in 3 different places around the house.

Our house isn't big enough to spread a whole lot of kitty boxes around. He doesn't seem to have a problem with sharing a box, although he and Bobbi are quite picky about the state of the box.
At the moment, Bobbi has the Litter Robot pretty much to herself, although Spot is curious about it, now that he smells his leavings in it (we shovel the regular box into the Litter Robot). Alex is still acting like the Litter Robot isn't even there. Spot going over and sniffing it, and coming closer to actually putting his head inside, is a big step forward. We just need to be patient with him -- we can actually see him thinking things out, but he's very slow to adapt to new stuff.
At the moment, Spot's piled up on WLToo, Bobbi's on a blanket next to him, and Alex is on my lap. There's ice and a dusting of snow outside, and it's seriously cold. Good thing we don't have to be anywhere.

What a story you started with and continue with. Keep up the postings, as I enjoy your story. We only have 1 talker but he talks for the entire group, and tells us the what for also lol

Spot got something greasy and sticky on his tail, so I've been combing it off when he's relaxed. Two or three swipes, and he's ready to grab the comb and beat the snot out of it, but I've got it down to something he can probably clean off himself.
He's definitely WLToo's cat now. Soon as I can sneak up on them, I'll take a photo of him laying all over WLToo.
Bobbi, meanwhile, is little miss monkey see, monkey do. Alex has always rolled around in the dirt. Bobbi's recently taken up the habit, so I guess she saw him and decided that's what big cats do. Using a lot of damp kitty wipes now, since a constant diet of licking off the local limestone based dirt can't be good for their kidneys in the long term -- not to mention I don't like cleaning it off me when one of them comes inside and jumps right onto me.
Hopefully, Spot won't take up the habit, too. As white as his white fur is, that would probably stain him eventually.

Sounds like things are going well... kittens do learn from their elders. A damp microfiber cloth will remove the dust and won't cost money every time you have to do it.
How's the litterbox issue coming?

No progress on the litter box, although he's still interested in watching the Litter Robot. I'm thinking this will be a long term project.
He does prefer to go outside to potty, as does Alex, so having two boxes isn't a big issue, since we're home most of the time and can let them out to do their business.
Spot woke me up at sunrise, playing in a box that was delivered yesterday. Then he dashed through the house, trilling, and started Bobbi dashing and trilling. These two are the first cats I've had who prefer to trill instead of meow, and it's so cute.
Cats are so much fun.

Spot met a neighbor's cat today. That large, black, unaltered cat has been stomping around our house since we moved here, thoroughly outraging Alex.
Spot and the black cat are about the same size. They sat nose to nose and talked a lot, then slowly circled each other, occasionally with a bottlebrush tail, but never actually struck out at each other. I know Spot's not a fighter; looks like the neighbor cat is just a talker, too.
Spot noticed me watching, and strolled back to me. The black cat watched, then strolled down the hill, back toward his home. Spot acted like he was pretty proud of protecting the homestead.
Glad he did it without combat.

Oh, interesting! Edna will not turn away from a staring contest with another cat. If she doesn't come when we call her (she only goes into our backyard but there's a lot of shrubbery) I know she's having facetime with another kitty. There seems to be some kind of cat etiquette where if you blink or turn away when your mama calls, you lose or are a sissy, or something. Not until I go out there and get close and yell at her to come into the house, then she will turn and race past me to the open door. Aren't they funny?
