Leaving for Quartzite on Monday morning. Topped up the tank yesterday at $1.79 here in Tucson. Can't wait to hit the interstate running at less than half of what we paid on our last two trips. Woo hoo!

The price of crude oil went up 5% yesterday, so maybe this price war is slowing down or reversing. Time will tell.

I still think it's a plot by OPEC, etc. drive the price so low that fracking doesn't pay, they shut it down, and prices go back up.

Well hear is the lowest price I have ever paid for diesel $1.379 today in south Fort Worth. I had to post that just because. Truth I had $1.00 off using my Kroger points. so it was $2.379 with out the discount. Shure beets $4.45 I paid at one point last summer.

Washington has one of the highest fuel taxes in the US, so our numbers tend to be higher. A couple of days ago, our local Safeway was selling regular for $1.999. A small convenience store 20 miles away had $1.669 on their display. Sure beats the $4.59 we paid t a couple of small towns on the Oregon Coast last spring!

Just a little chuckle on that!
We spent the week between Christmas and new years on the Oregon Coast at South beach SP. We left Portland with 3/4 of a tank of diesel and full propane. Well with all the running around, and keeping warm in the fiver, we needed Fuel and Propane. While Diesel in the Portland are was as low as $2.69, Propane was $2.70 at best.

We paid $3.44 for the diesel, and $2.40 for propane.

I love the low prices and glad I don't work in the oil fields.
