All your stuff must be older. DEF became mandatory a few years ago. It is an additive that goes into the exhaust to help reduce emissions. ie: Diesel Exhaust Fluid.
Normally I go through about 3 gallons or so every 5000 miles when towing. Separate tank for this stuff also. The big boys have it at the pump in their fueling centers.

Honda EU2000i
It must be time to go, the suns out and I've got a full tank of diesel!
We have a granite fireplace hearth! Love to be a little different.

Just got back from a quick grocery run and found regular going for $1.96 at the local station. Almost every station in the greater Tucson area is now under $2 a gallon (per Gas Buddy). Woo Hoo, definitely time to hit the road!

Boy I had a 98' couldn't wait for the 2000 Yukon to come out to be rid of it. Good work truck but not so much for RVing

We looked long and hard to find a 3/4 ton 4 door short bed Dodge that had exactly what we wanted in it . 5.9 Cummins , granny gear manual transmission , manual windows and locks , black rubber floors ,stamped steel wheels , A/c and cruise control. Period. We sure enjoy traveling in it , and have been on a great many long trips with it and the trailer, including Alaska , would NEVER consider a vehicle with a slush box transmission for anything , much less long trips .
But to each his own , I tend to appreciate things that will last a very long time without little nit noid things breaking in it . Still have and use regularly a 1964 F100 4x4 we bought back in 84 for 900. bucks .
Thanks for the info as to what def is :-)

The price of crude oil went up 5% yesterday, so maybe this price war is slowing down or reversing. Time will tell.
