Just returned from a 10 day, 1,200 mile, Quartzite, Joshua Tree NP and southern California run. Sequentially, the following fuel prices were for regular (87 octane), purchased with a credit card:

Tucson - $1.79
I-10 (25 miles east of Q) - $1.99
Yucca Valley - $2.23
San Diego - $2.33
Yuma - $1.78
Casa Grande - $1.75

{I like to drive on the top half of the tank so most of these were 20 to 30 gallon purchases.}

I just noticed on "gas buddy" that some stations offer two prices. Cash or credit card. Is this common all over U.S. We're heading down in a week.

Yep, we have had a 2 price thing for some time. Just forget the low price unless you want to carry around a gob of money. Now that prices are lower I've seen some stations with both prices the same an hoping this is a trend.

Oil workers on strike at several refineries and it's spreading. We can now expect rising costs to consumers at any moment. This is week one of strike.
