If you purchase oil on wall street you must take delivery. I would like to see a trader try to fit a million barrels in his NY condo.

Yup, Most of the local stations have picked $3.59 as the price to charge for regular gasoline. Diesel is still under $4.00. Prices vary from $3.83 to $3.99. Looks like oil prices are still hanging around $102.xx.

Prices here are oozing back down to $3.55 again for gasoline. Diesel remains the same. Ho-hum......[emoticon]

With Irag and Syria going "up in flames" are we heading for $4.00 gasoline again? Just in time for the summer driving season.

No--5.00 will do.. We need all the excuses we can get so the prices rises. Isn't that the usual way? It's the old supply and demand thing, They demand we pay pay more while they debate how much to supply.

Please explain the "Law of supply and demand." I've been asking that for many years. The closest I've gotten to an answer is that " the market trades at the equilibrium point, which is where the Supply curve and the Demand curve cross". But what if they don't cross, or they cross more than once? Econ students spend coffee sessions pointing out real life situations where such anomalies occur.
