Wow, thank you for the help.
We have a new Weekend Warrior FS2300 that will be 1 year old in July 2008 and has been sitting on the authorized dealer's lot for over 3 months with a leaking roof, recall work and minor other warranty items. We have been waiting for a return phone call or e-mail from Weekend Warrior Mfg to allow the authorized dealer to start warranty repairs and to ORDER the needed parts for our new Weekend Warrior toy hauler.
Endless phone calls and e-mails are unanswered by Weekend Warrior Mfg. After 3 months, the authorized dealer did get someone to finally answer the phone at Weekend Warrior Mfg and was told by the rep that he would show the e-mail pictures of our trailer to his boss, but due to the extensive damage to our trailer that he was going to recommend that it be returned from North Georgia to their California factory and no response since then. (I'm trying to do the math.... 3 months to answer the phone, so how many more months to look at the pictures and then decide how to best repair the problem?) We bought the toyhauler from Weekend Warrior after extensive research and their rating for the "best warranty in the industry." What we have is a new trailer that can not be used, is defective and for which we still owe more than it is worth in it's present state and... we have missed out on an entire camping season due to bad faith warranty service from Weekend Warrior MFG.
I would like Weekend Warrior to show us a GOOD FAITH effort to live up to their claims to have the best warranty in the industry and repair our trailer immediately. Returning the trailer to California is not a good solution unless they want to loan to us an identical toyhauler to use while ours is being repaired by them.
Any help will be appreciated. Thank you.

SandollarChaser, you may want to read some of the other threads on the forum. As of this week it appears that WW has put a moratorium on all operations and all warranty work for at least 90 days. They are in survival mode it appears. I wouldn't count on anything being done anytime soon. If you have an extended warranty you may want to see if they will cover things. There are at least 3 other WW threads in the main forum talking about the current state of affairs, they are well worth at read for all WW owners. Best of luck.

Thank you Y-Guy and longtrailer48.
The ceiling leak in the front sleeper cabin was noticed April 6, 2008 when our toyhauler was 8 months old. The roof looked fine except where the dealer had recaulked an area on the front cap last July before we picked up the trailer. We were told by the dealer that it was only a decorative cover and could not be leaking there. The rubber roof is intact.
They are saying we need two (maybe three) sheets of plywood and two rafters and the insulation is moldy and then a new rubber roof as this one will be ripped in the removal process. And two ceiling panels and it looks like the emergency window is leaking too. Possible damage under the sleeping platform from that leak. (They have not gotten permission to "tear into it and know for sure."
Don't get me wrong, we love our Weekend Warrior trailer and are disappointed with not getting to use it and mostly that the "best warranty in the industry" is not resposive to product defects nor their authorized dealers. We have had two dealers involved as the first dealership did not have facilities nor technicians to make the repairs. Both dealers have complaints that Weekend Warrior will not answer the phone nor return calls. We have, of course, have had the same experience with our numerous calls.
Does anyone know a good custom builder/repair service if Weekend Warrior is bankrupt? I know this repair is not rocket science, just requires a person with skill. I'd rather pay someone to fix it right than a lawyer who will cost more than the repair and more months than we want to invest.
Would much rather be singing Weekend Warriors praises for making good on their claims though.
Thank you. Sandollarchaser.

Sandollarchaser - see if the dealer it is at can give you a detailed quote or give you a recommendation to a dealer that can. From there contact some other dealers with the quote (white out name etc.) and see if the can quote or give you an idea of the cost of repairs. If WW does come back around you maybe able to get partial payment if they feel generous, but I don't think they will pick up the whole bill. They have been having units sent back to them to do the work themselves, probably at a much lower cost then having dealers do it for. Good luck!

Thank you Y-Guy,
That is a good suggestion. We do have an estimate to use as a starting base.
Additionally, thanks to your help and your forum and your threads we have just found out that our problems are depicted in Exhibit C of the documents filed regarding the Zieman frames which we do have on our new 2007 FS2300 which was built by Weekend Warrior in 2006. (Torsion of the frame causes the front cap molding (seals) to pop and separate and the front windows to leak with buckling of the wood in the storage compartment. All of that is us!!)
So, stay tuned, maybe we will get some help after all. I understand that we have to pay shipping costs over $800. Any idea how much to ship/haul our trailer from Northeast Georgia to Peris, California, if we go that route?

The shipping isn't an issue right now, WW isn't taking any units back at this time. So I wouldn't even worry about that part. There is a lot up in the air right now.

logtrailer48,
Thank you for your kind words and I should have explained that we had to move our trailer from one dealership to another about 160 miles away so that it could be placed under a covered shed until repairs were made. (It is hard to get all the info into a posting when trying to spare words!) Nevertheless, the damage has seemed to have gotten worse when you compare our original photos to the ones the second dealership took a month after ours were made even though it is stored under a covered shed.
Once again, thank you and we did love our toyhauler and hope to see WW make a come back and hope they will make good on the repairs too. If not, we need to know repair sources. Any ideas?

Well with WW closing doors until the after the 4th of July weekend and stopping all warranty work at dealers, from what I have heard that is. I wonder what is going on with my FS2500 that is at their factory getting fixed. I talked to Jim I guess it was on Monday about what was going on and at that time I said they where hoping to get my trailer back to me before July 11th weekend so I can go on the trip I have planned but with the Tues and Wed events with them closing im wondering whats going to happen. Its not like I can go pick my trailer up, its 1700 miles away from me...

Well glad I called them. I just talked to Jamie and mentioned the rumors and my concern with my trailer. She said they have NOT shut the doors, they have only suspended warranty work. My trailer is being fixed as we speak and it is scheduled to be done on July 7th and she will get back to me to let me know if they will be able to get it shipped out on the 8th and to me by the 11th.

I feel a little better now BUT I will feel a lot better when my trailer is back in my driveway.

I live not to far from the plant and will be headed that way tomorrow I will see if there still open. A friend who worked there just got layed off last week and he was told two different things. He was told they have a cash flow problem and they are trying to fix the problem. He was also told not to hold his breath to look a new job. He was a plant foreman has been there for years. So who knows I hear from a high up from Skyline he says W.W.will file BK. but then he works for the Competition.
