I think it goes even farther than just this group, because I've been telling friends who aren't a part of the forum about Old Fella - and they're praying for him (and Rich!), too!!

don't know if it's ok to mention religion on these fora? I sent a note to our church to put up the Sanctuary Light for Old Fella & Richard, next thing I hear is that the St. Francis statue has sprouted vases of flowers. Interesting phenomenon, the electronic prayer chain and its surrounding effects.

Hang in there y'all!

I have surely felt those prayers and have watched as Old Fella improves. Last night I felt so alone with Old Fella as I was sure he was not going to make it. About 2 in the morning when things got so bad, suddenly I felt a peace come over me and I didn't feel alone anymore. I knew someone was praying for us and it was a mighty prayer warrior. I didn't realize until today that those prayers were coming from this forum and those who had been told. The fragrance of the flowers have been noticed here in Georgia.

...Folks, let's just call this a "failure to communicate" and let the thread go back to concentrating on Old Fella and Dixie Flyer. Obviously there were some misinterpretations and missed opportunities. What's important now is the recovery of Old Fella and planning on all the fun to be had at the Rally in June. Priorities and positive thinking folks! :B
[b]I am all for that! :) Please no hard feelings vickiebec.:)
No hard feelings
Great! And a big "Welcome" to you and Vic and Socks to the Forum!! It's always great to have new people--you'll have a lot of fun here. Barbara

I am so glad to hear that Old Fella is doing better, that is just wonderful news!!!! I think I will be able to sleep better tonight for knowing that. With all the prayers going up, it seems that religion is already part of this group. Rich, you get some rest tonight yourself, can not have you getting ill on us. I will check back in the morning, but will keep praying tonight.

God bless!!!!

I was gone for a week camping in Shenandoah when I returned, I saw that Old Fella had taken a turn for the worse. Dear friends, I was just sick. I think Old Fella belongs to all of us and Rich and Lynn are the custodial parents. We all owe you a great debt Rich. Your love for Old Fellow has taken a group of strangers and made us come together as a "little family". Remember love and prayer is a powerful force.

Rich, take care of yourself, too. Don't let stress wear on your health. You have each of us behind you.

I forgot to tell you, Rich, the color and not turned very much in Virginia. We loved the weather, sunny warm days and cool nights. Good sleeping! I don't know if Cherokee will have much color but the cool clean air might help Old Fella's breathing. Also, will you be able to keep us posted while you are gone?

As of this post Old Fella is doing so much better. He is acting more alert and responsive. He has eaten and gone outside for the night and done his business and is now back inside resting comfortably in his bed. His breathing is so much improved and I am glad I can get some sleep tonight. It was a rough night last night and a rough morning, but thanks be to the powers above that prayers were answered and Old Fella is still with us headed for Branson, Missouri in June. This forum has shown so much love for Old Fella and myself and I cannot find the words to really tell you how greatful we are. I am going to bed now and will have the peace of heart to know that while we are resting your prayers are still be answered.
