[b]vickiebec, I am sorry you interpreted what I said as being rude. When you said it was going to be raining all week-end and being a sign, I interpreted that as being a "gloomy" sign.
Walter Vickiebec must be very new to this board. I agree with Barbara (Whimstock), that you are anything but rude. You have been one of the kindest poster's on any thread.. Infact, there has been nothing but compassion and love here from everyone, and lots of prayers for Old Fella and Richard...Barb
I second that, Walter is one of the nicest people on this forum. You stand next to Richard. :):) Chris

Folks, let's just call this a "failure to communicate" and let the thread go back to concentrating on Old Fella and Dixie Flyer. Obviously there were some misinterpretations and missed opportunities. What's important now is the recovery of Old Fella and planning on all the fun to be had at the Rally in June. Priorities and positive thinking folks! [emoticon]

Rich what does the Doc say about traveling to elevation with the Old Fella?

He thinks it will be okay. He suggested that we go and take Old Fella with us as he will be in the camper once we get there and there will be less activity as compared to home with all that goes on there and he will be close to us. Doc Gradous said that Old Fella has become so attached to me that it would stress him out of I were not where he could see me and hear me and he believes that the trip would not place him under any stress. He loves to ride and now when we go anywhere he lays down on the back seat and goes to sleep. He has been spoiled rotten and I will have to take the blame for that.

Where we are going there is not that much change in elevation to be a factor as far as breathing is concern, so he will be safe in that respect. If he is breathing easy in the morning we will ost likely go. If I believe that he is the least bit stressed, then we will stay home. Right now he is breathing easy and is sleeping like a baby.

Old Fella just told me he is feeling much better. He looks like his old self right now. He is laying on his bed very alert with his head up and his ears cocked and his eyes watching me. He came over a while ago and wanted me to rub his belly. I think the worse is over, I would like to think that anyway. Thanks for all of your prayers, I know that is what turned the tide.

I really believe with all my heart that Old Fella is going to pull through this and our bond will be the stronger because of it. He knew I was there and would not leave his side all through the night. That gave him the strength to pull through. Love is stronger than any force this earth has ever known. There is enough love here on this forum to get us all through this or whatever comes our way.

Just a little while ago Levi came through and I called him back to give him a pat on the head and Old Fella got up out of his bed and came to me to get his also. His breathing is so much better and he felt like eating again. I just have to believe with all my heart that Old Fella was supposed to with us his family and he wasn't saved to leave us now before his new life really began. He has so much to live for and he knows it.

That was my thoughts before, as I said a dear vet got DH and I through tough times with our pup. His advise, give him a reason to live. I think since you didn't leave his side, you have given him this hope. Thank you so much for all that you are doing for Old Fella!

Continued prayers for Old Fella and Dixieflyer to have a rested evening. Keep us posted.

Walter- will you stop rufflin feathers!!! or I'll just vote for the diddy name!!!! [emoticon] *my invite was not revoked ya know) Just kidding. Walter is such an animal person, his heart is always in the right place. Any misunderstandings are just that. Sometimes, typed words are hard to interpret.
