My prayers are with you. I hope all goes well in the next few days. It sounds like the two of you better get some rest.

Well, so much for getting any work done this afternoon. Will be on tenterhooks until Rich lets us know.
If the intensity of feeling toward Old Fella could be an energy wave in his direction, that old dog would be in perfect health right now.
Hang in there, Old Fella.

Old Fella is home now resting. His breathing is very labored as his lungs fill up with dead heart worms. Dr Gradous says this sometimes happen when the worms are late in dying. They will die a bunch at one time and then clog up the arteries in the heart and then when they become dislodged they rush into the lungs and cause an infection to set in. He gave me three syringes filled with medication that have to be injected once a day. Dr. Gradous says his labored breathing will last for a few days until the body can desolve the worms and get rid of them. In the mean time we hope no more get into the arteries or the lungs.
I don't know what to do about our trip to the mountains. I don't want to put Old Fella under any more stress and I don't want to leave him behind. The thoughts of leaving him alone at the vets while we are gone just doesn't set to well with me.
Early this morning when Old Fella was so sick Izzie {the cat} came in and sniffed Old Fella's face and head, and lay down beside him and didn't move. We both just lay there with Old Fella all night. I thank you for all of your prayers and I ask that you continue to pray and hope for a full recovery. This was so unexpected and has just knocked all of us for a loop, but we will trust for a bright future and outcome for Old Fella.
I haven't decided yet about the trip but I believe at this moment I will not go. I will talk with everyone again tonight.

Richard. Stay home. Wait a week or two. You aren't going to be able to relax if you're away and he's struggling, and he needs the support. No sense going on a trip you won't enjoy like you should.
My Tig is like that when the other animals are sick, or people. She'll just lay there and give them her energy.
