I'm still looking for my motorhome. I haven't been able to find an Allegro Bay 36LB I think I might like. One of the things that just occurred to me is taxes on motorhomes. I'm aware of the second domicile aspect in figuring income taxes. What I'm wondering about is yearly state taxes. After the original sales tax hit, what kind of yearly tax will I face in Tennessee? Anybody out there from Tennessee that might have a comment? Also, I'm looking at moving to Mississippi in the next year or so. I know that Mississippi has a heck of a car license price. What about motorhomes?

Thank you for the valuable information. Would you be able to offer advise on choosing between a Class A versus Class C with the same length and slide-outs? I will be soloing fulltime this summer, and have manufacturers in mind for both. I was wondering about differences in gas mileage and towing capacity, as well as insurance. Finally, I've read negative things about the Chevy chassis - does that include the Workhorse and Alison transmission?

i am planning on buying a class a or class c motorhome depending on the weight it can carry behind it. i have a 22 ft pontoon boat and i would like to know if a motorhome can launch and retreive my boat from the water without causing damage to either vehicle. the size motorhome im planning on buying will probably be around 30 ft. if anyone knows anything about what might happen please let me know.

I wouldn't think of using my motorhome to launch my boat. I have towed it to Florida and back from Kansas, but use my truck to launch it. After my neighbor had his SUV slip back into the water and submerge while launching his boat confirmed this is not a risk I want to take with my coach!

Just wanted to know what RV you found that can travel 1000 miles before you refill?

My Bluebird has a 300 gallon fuel tank and at 5 or 6 mpg I have exceeded 1000 miles or more between fillups. This doesn't happen that often because I buy my fuel based on price so I'm looking (usually on the net) for the cheapest price long before I get very low.
