Unfortunately there is no way to cure depression by uself. I highly recommend to have a session with doctor to understand a depth of a problem.Depression is a complex mental health condition that requires a comprehensive approach to treatment!

Please note, too, that sometimes depression is caused by a chemical imbalance. Some research indicates it's not any one thing but a combination of things. The OP indicated that this person is financially successful. Getting to that point is often extremely stressful but often stays within the limits of the job. I also know multiple vegans/vegetarians whose iron levels are fine because they take supplements. While there does seem to be a link between iron deficiency and depression it may or may not be the root cause. We all need to try and stop trying to pinpoint one cause. Depression is very complex. Most people experience it over their lifetimes at one point or another. The root cause? Life in general.

That. and occasionally professional help and medication, are on the "long list" of things that go in the blank.

The goal of this study was to compare depression in meat-eaters, meat-reducers, and vegetarian/vegans in terms of depression to test this hypothesis. .

(A bit tongue-in-cheek) I guarantee that meat-reducers suffer depression. Last night, my husband and I took our son/d-i-l, and their adult kids to a Texas Roadhouse. My husband is mostly-healed from a tough 6-months of Ulcerative Colitis, and beef seems to be a trigger food for him still. As he looked at all the steaks on the menu, I'm pretty sure I saw a tear roll down his cheek....LOL! He settled for salmon, but that was a tough test of his resolve...

Hard to beat a Texas Roadhouse for a good steak.
Hope your husband enjoyed his salmon substitute.

Seriously? Typical franchise food, IMO anyway.

First off correlation does not prove causation;

Probably the very best comment anyone has made in this thread.

Now if you ask me "Do most people suffering from Depression eat meat?"
I'd have to say yes..
But wait... Why do I have to say yes? Well let's turn the question around: Do most people who do not have a problem with Depression eat meat? Same answer.. yes... Why is that: Most people eat meat.

That simple

They also drink water (And other beverages one of which can indeed cause depression.. They drink it to ease depression but it amplifies the problem.. No I won't name it.. I don't drink it (Can't stand the taste)).

Kind of like the leading cause of Divorce... (Marriage) The correlation 100% of the people who got divorced got married firest 100% folks. There have been a few folks who tried to divorce without getting married first.. Judge tossed the cases.

So clearly marriage causes Divorce. Or does it?

(I got married in 1978.. Wife died in 2013.. We never got to the Divorce so that's the flaw in the argument here).

As for depression..... Though I do have periods of "Feeling down" It's a long way from Clinical Depression.. I'm a natural anti-depressant it seems... During one "Twilight" Surgery the nurse who's job it was to literally hold my hand... Got the feeling I was holding HER hand.
(I was not worried. I know the hospital, (Considered by some to be the best.. clearly the most expensive which is why Park-Davis was paying the bill) I'd researched the procedure.. I was NOT worried or depressed.

Good time spending is good cure for depression. I had depression back in the days (maybe not the real one) and tried to cope with that by myself only. I found some new hobbies and did a lot of sports : cycling, crossfit, everything what keeps my body occupied is good for the brain too. Now I allow myself to play casino games ??????? ufabet ?????? once a week and that's my way of relaxing and doing something for myself only.
