In my opinion as long as the number of deaths plus the number of those who recovered (as determined by positive tests) remain a small percentage of the total number of those affected (based upon positive tests) we are not close to being ready to get back to normal. The percentage of those who have tested positive and we know the outcome of this disease is only 2.4%.

We all have different aptitude when dealing with medical issues
One site is an absolute standout
It has articles ranging in thoroughness from the most fundamental basic information to complex white papers that are a challenge even for medical experts.
This is the go-to site from casual patient beginners to the CDC WHO The editors of the Merck Manual and the Mayo Clinic.
Don't let it buffalo you. I give it a full five stars. Unprecedented for a stubborn critic

My go-to place is Johns Hopkins as well...
I check this map out every morning.
You can click on the US in the left column and it will tell totals for the country. Then zoom in on the map and click on your county to see how many they've found. The numbers can be shocking enough, but we know for a fact that we have way more in our county than is on the map - people still can't get tested.
At this point our area looks like there's not much so could be one of the areas that might be opened up for business by Easter.

Thank you for your valued input! We are staying hunkered down in FL simply because we are closer to grocery stores - waiting for things to settle down before we go back to Michigan. You've given us a good formula and map to determine when that might be.
On edit - I'm going to mention this for all the weather geeks: I just noticed that WunderMap has a special "red coronavirus" icon on the top left of the weather map to see the case counts in each county

I also was stunned by the small percentage of infected that were considered recovered. BTW, how do they figure recovered - normally it's two negative viral tests and no symptoms. With the scarcity of tests in most locations I wonder if they are actually testing recovered people.
One other alarming fact, COVID patients in NY are spending 11-21 days on a ventilator while the "normal" flu or other type of patient need the ventilator spent 4-5 days on it. You can see why they are scrambling to get more vents.
Deb, we made the trip back to the Midwest. The trip wasn't bad, campgrounds were making adjustments (curbside check-in and closed stores). We actually were sheltering in place while our shelter was moving down the road.
We feel more comfortable where we have our doctors and know the health care system. Our area is in the rapid growth phase, but still no where near critical hospital admissions. The next two weeks will be a critical time.
We left Florida because of the lack of urgency, spring break and the number of kids running and playing all over the campground. I know risk was minimal, it just seemed too many people weren't taking this seriously. We'll see what happens in Florida over the next few weeks.
