Guesswork is a waste of time.
A healthcare worker or first responder may be exposed to a magnitude greater concentration of virus. The ideal protection would be Biohazard level IV. Impossible.
For a normal quarantine situation getting sprayed with infected phlegm is not the norm while shopping. This is why I suggested what MIT finally suggested which is a FIVE METER distance. Anyone getting sprayed needs ASAP decontamination. Please look it up. They broke a law and now they have to deal with decontamination or face the consequences.
THE MAIN DANGER IS.....touching an object not the air, contaminated by an infected. Covid19. Lives on directly contaminated surfaces. Fondling fingers. When TREATED HANDS subsequently touch that contaminated surface the virus dies 100% Instantly. Study Hexaclorophene Gluconate or Provine Iodine duration.
Mask and goggles provide YOU touching YOUR SELF.
Endless permutations of highly unlikely scenarios serve to confuse and not educate.

Thanks. I hope so too! I'm not taking any chances. We're isolating like we never had it.
She's an "essential worker" though, so she's going back. I'm working from home and the kids are learning "virtually".

The link would not post.... Upwards of 70 students went to Cabo on spring break. They had chartered a private jet. Upon returning 28 tested positive for the virus. I believe when returning they did not all return on the same plane. Univ of Texas-Austin.
Looks to me as if there must be some lessons in not being selfish. Did mom and dad help fund/fund the trip. Really irritating.

An aerosol dries up in an hour on a hard surface. Few supermarkets have carpet shelves. You can rationalize your magazine excerpts to no end. Permutations until the cows come home. But evading reality will surely contract the pathogen.
The USA is on track to surpass Italy and China. Why? Muse on that for a few months.
Meanwhile I will stop offering suggestions and let the prevailing winds take you wherever they will

I posted earlier that dh and I were sick. Just wanted to report that I finally started feeling better on Wednesday, then yesterday I felt almost completely normal. Dh still feels a bit off, but he had it lighter than me and hasn't been resting as much as me.
So - for me it lasted 13 days, with an up and down course. I know that we are some of the lucky ones with light and mild cases.
And of course we can't even be sure we had it or something else as we were not able to be tested.

When it becomes available, get the antibody test. It will tell if you had COVID and will be able to reassure you and your husband one way or the other.
