MEXICOWANDERER wrote: Soaking a mask in silver 1000 PPM absolutely will kill 100% of virus that comes in contact with it I don't see much any discussion of adding silver to a mask except by the people who are promoting it. Wouldn't you be inhaling some of that?

The stain does not appear on my fingers when I rub it. They swallow it. Babies don't scream when its put into their eyes. And it is a component of biological
Masks.

Don't do it with chlorine primarily because it won't do anything

It seems that the virus has significantly less virulence than rubella. But totally different pathogens and dangers.
Rubella is measles.
What triggered my fascination with pandemics was when my grandmother told the story of holing up in Jack Creek Montana pop 3, with a midwife to birth my father. 1918
She didn't mention the people of Ennis MT hoarding anything. My uncle Jess shot a deer and loaded the cold house with root vegetables. The people really feared the Spanish Flu.

I have an Airthereal ozone generator that I bought to clear out funky smells from the RV. I haven't used it to sanitize the house yet (yes I know it will kill you if you're in the room). I'd like to run it but given the lung issues my wife is currently experiencing I think it's too risky.
Ozone is the component in "smog" that is bad for our health; and as someone who sold ozone generators for use in hot tubs - yes, it's really hard on your lungs. And the fabrics and metals and rubbers/vinyls in your house or RV. It won't sanitize your house - it's 5000 times more reactive than chlorine or bromine, so it will expend its sanitizing powers on dust long before it finds viruses. Lysol targeted at surfaces that are commonly touched, is your best bet.

Regarding the silver discussion:
FDA Action/reaction:
Manufacturers of colloidal silver products often claim that they are cure-alls, boosting your immune system, fighting bacteria and viruses, and treating cancer, HIV/AIDS, shingles, herpes, eye ailments and prostatitis.
However, no sound scientific studies to evaluate these health claims have been published in reputable medical journals. In fact, the Food and Drug Administration has taken action against some manufacturers of colloidal silver products for making unproven health claims.

This mess is a virus.. Whole different animal... So none of the research I did back than even mentioned the word virus.
I also read the "Truth" article someone posted above. I do known of one valid use of sliver in medical treatment.> But as a topical not ingested (I learned of it as they say, the HARD WAY, and it is why I did the research).
What is dangerous: Disinformation, Misinformation, Myth and LIES.
And alas I'm seeing a lot of that stuff (NOT commenting on anything in this thread) on the news and in the news.... TONS of well. false information frankly. including folks saying "We will have it under control in just a few days" and "We can open by Easter" and "It's no big thing" and "The New Flu"..
FOlks not one word of those claims is true
We do not have it under control (That line was over a week ago)
it is a big deal far far more deadly than the flu.
it is NOT the flu but an entierly new disease
And I do not think packing the churches on Easter is a good idea. But. I"m not the expert.. Just very well researched on this kind of stuff.
(Actually in one medical area I got Expert credentials but this is not even close to it).

Colloidal silver used internally is the worst form of quackery IMHO. All advertisers and manufacturers who promote it for internal use should be imprisoned in my opinion.
I endured the Linus Pauling idiocy the month I graduated. And 30 years later chewed enough zinc lozenges to seemingly galvanize my gut when a cold virus was spreading through my system. Maybe this hocus pocus works on some folks but I don't seem to be fortunate.
Keeping active covid19 virus from entering the body is the sole method of avoiding it.
I strongly disagree recommended distances between people. 12 feet distance a coughing person would have me running. And if it was in a grocery store I abandon ship altogether and depart for at least 2 hours. Complain to store management to have that person removed. Obviously sick people who do something as stupid as grocery shopping do not have the ability to pour **** Out of a boot with the directions on the heel.
This is why everything from the store gets dunked in a clorine bath even currency and coins. Then it is rinsed in fresh water in the sink. Sterile containment is cheap and fast. Wipe down cardboard food packages with the same solution as used for dunking grocery items. When typhoid fever terrorized a tiny village in a rural area down here I seemingly was one of the few that avoided it until a bridge was repaired.
Quackery and gossip is not limited to the USA.
People in the USA believed utterly in the power of limon juice to sterilize any food it was squeezed onto.
A Mexico City cholera epidemic proved beyond a shadow of a doubt the alpha spreaders were wandering vendors of cebiche. Fish chunks swimming in pure limón juice.
Any remedy that can tame Covid19 will meet with thunderous acceptance by the government and news media alike. Count on it.

Yes absolutely
Contaigion is a verb
Avoiding contact and sterilization is conducted using the same- exactly the same protocols.
Compared to rubella Covid19 is not as contagious. But far more dangerous. I am trying to pass along tips to avoid contaigion.
Biohazard grade protection needs intense self policing. Strict sterilization. No room for errors. It is neither easy nor fun. But for the most vulnerable it is not an option.
I would like to help save lives.
A question if I may...
Has anyone seen any guidelines by the federal government regarding the safe handling of currency or coinage?
Or the fact that coughing contaminates an area seventeen feet in radius?
Or virus is a much more pervasive contaminate because of it's far lighter mass?
Not time to panic. Or acquire a bad mood. Rather learn and practice safety. China did not incinerate tens of billions of Yuan Renminbi for the heck of it.
My interest in this is solely to see as many smiling words on this site when the contaigion ends.
