I believe these are the LFP batteries...? They have less power density but because they are being used in the SR plus pack they have room for a little more battery. I believe they get a little bump in range as well. Right around 268 miles EPA. Less expensive as well and they were able to drop the price on the SR plus a bit. Now a zero to sixty time of just under 6 ish? Overall nice compromise for that market. No hint on wether it will come to the US factories yet. If it did it might push the price down below 35000 for the SR plus and probably below 32000 for the unicorn car. Who knows.
Presently the longer range AWD model 3,s will continue to be built with the Panasonic batteries.

Kind of a fun video to watch of Norway Bjorn (well known EV youtuber/analyst in europe). Counting EV's passing the other direction and giving a running percentage count. Over 50 percent of new vehicles sold in Norway are EV's and its starting to show up in the daily traffic...and closing gas stations. ![[emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif "smile") Also nice to see the passing countryside. Good memories for us. Europe is a fun travel. We prefer to travel by train but some touring is best done by car especially the French coast down to Spain and then onto Lisbon. Pack light and stop often. We are headed back as soon as this Virus thing is over.

0-60mph in 1.9 seconds is 1.44G. And it would have to either beat that a lower speeds or have about 1,200hp to the ground to hold that acceleration all the way to 88ft/sec (60mph). From what I have heard 1.00G is darn good on the street.

Theoretically, with 1G downforce and coefficient of friction 1....1G would be the maximum....but there are other factors in play
Asphalt pavement has rocks embedded
Tiretread is soft enough to have it mold into the crevices to have interference
