The prior pic was the beginning of a mortise and tenon joint. I did most of the work on the bandsaw, although, not all of it.
I decided to create a stronger set of saw horses, as I will need to not only put plywood on them, I intend to use them to support one of the sections of the trusses I used to work on the roof last year.
I want something that will support me, so I changed gears, and will re-do the first saw horse I built.
So, here's one of the joints prepared to be assembled on the second saw horse.

These are through joints, and provide a great deal of surface area to glue together, which makes for a very strong joint. (joint = not the smoking kind, Ok?) Lol.

Here you can see the upper and lower mortise joints. With some glue and a few screws, it will be nice and strong.

That will support myself and the truss so I can finish the rear of the roof area and secure the TPO, that is still hanging a little bit.

Looks like the wife and I will both be out of commission for a few days. Not feeling well is a pain in the neck!

Just checking in here and wondering if fulltimin and his wife are doing ok. Ben sending up a few prayers for them. Hoping to see him back doing his rebuild soon.

Yup, still hanging in there, thank you.
Wife started feeling poorly last week, me this week. The icing on the cake was when I lost sense of smell one night, and loss of taste the next morning.
That confirmed what I had suspected.
At times, feeling like a limp dish rag, other times not quite as bad, until I move around a little bit. Little bit like a case of the flu, with a low grade fever.

The loss of sence of smell and taste is due to the covid 19 virus, my brother and the youngest son and wife had the virus, no smell or taste.
Take care and do see your doctor, it is not a flu.

Really glad to hear from you and find out you, tho not wonderful are seemingly recovering. Hopefully you both will soon both be up and back in the game!
