If you want to do something, you will find a way.
If you don't, you will find an excuse.

If you have been following this thread, you may have an older rv and have been wondering about information concerning the chassis that the motor home was built on.

I have good news.

There is a website out there that has manuals and other literature available for older, and newer, vehicles.

If you are like me, it's nice to have a manual which describes in minute detail, all the things about your chassis, and how to repair them, including settings and specs.

I bought one from this site - wouldn't exactly call them cheap, but, for me it is well worth it.

I have no affiliation with this site, and I am not selling anything. This is just in case you need information for your chassis, not the coach side.

the structural adhesive should work- it sometimes needs a primer though -

I am definitely not blaming the adhesive, it's in my prep, for sure. Just trying a couple of different things, and willing to show my failure.....Lol

Another pic of the failed joint. You can see here, that we have a section of the aluminum where the adhesive did stick to it. Where it did, the wood was pulled out from the 2 x 3, and not off the aluminum.

So, that tells me that the adhesive can and will stick to aluminum, and when it does, we will have a wonderful joint. Again, my fault for not preparing the aluminum properly.

Here is the pic of the manual I got for this chassis, from the link above. I got this a while back, and it has given me good info.

This thing is a full 8 - 1/2 x 11", and over 2" thick. Covers just about anything you can think of.

Well, we may have reached a tentative agreement on a floor plan for the rebuilt motor home.

This would give us several options during use.

This would allow us to fold up the table and chairs. Both can be quite comfortable, and still folding.

This would allow a bunch of extra space in the living room, when the table is not in use.

Next, we will be able to turn the sofa sideways. That will allow us to really have a large looking living room, and also be able to pull out the bed, and still have room to walk around it, and use the facilities.

I have not ruled out the possibility of raising the roof - currently only 9' 6" without the ac. If I do raise the roof, we could add an overhead bed, similar to the Safari Trek's overhead bed.

Then we would not have to move the sofa. Just lower the bed. Cool.....
