So after all the cutting, grinding, welding, and so on, this is where I ended up at the end of the day.

It doesn't look like much, but it takes a while to cut, weld, and grind this stuff into place.

The green lines are new pieces of steel today.

The 3 red arrows show an old piece of steel, that is only tack welded in there temporarily, so I could get a measurement for the length of the pieces I needed to cut today.

Those 3 long pieces are NOT welded to the old piece at the top.

That old piece is only welded at the yellow circle areas.

So now, I am at the point, that the next move is to remove that old piece and test fit it on the coach.

Everything should line up just fine, and if it does, then I can give it 2 coats of Por 15.

Next day, after it is dry, I can weld this back in place, and the left wall is done! YAY!!!

Then I can move on to other areas. Ye Haw!!!!!

If you don't, you will find an excuse.

When your portable grinder, with a cutting wheel installed, gets to this size..................

Your cutting days are over with this one.

Remember this? This is the piece that I removed from the drivers side.

Ok, here you can see that I removed the old piece of steel from the newly created frame for the drivers side.

The red line was where the old piece of steel was welded in, temporarily, so I could cut those horizontal pieces to the correct length.

And here we are getting ready to test fit the new framework on the drivers side.

And there we go. I've got it hoisted into position, with a couple of clamps, and we are looking pretty good.

Here are 2 of the points that I wanted to make sure were very close to proper fitment.

They actually look pretty good.

This was the main one, and the angle is very good.

It helped to have the old piece to use as a pattern.

Yee Haw!!!!

That's close enough for me.

After I get a couple of coats of Por 15 on here, I can then weld this entire framework back in to where it belongs.

I had to resist the urge to just grab the welder and start welding away.
