Truck Camper Magazine online just did an article on them (which I read) and I was surprised that the grey water drained into the black tank. Seems counter productive to me. How do you flush your stinky slinky with no grey water?

Looks to be a nice unit.

The new owner builds tiny houses and the campers in the same building with (according to the article) the same crew that built the Northland.

Prices are listed on the Truck Camper magazine article. Pretty reasonable for a loaded camper (with the odd exception of the grey into black tank).

Interesting how many new builders are popping up. Cirrus last year and now these.

Reminds of the snowmobile industry in the 60's. 300 manufacturers and the industry went bust and now there are 4 left.

Wonder if the same thing will happen to the TC industry.

I am a bit confused by the grey black tank issue. They list separate holing capacity for each. Does the grey water pass through the black on the way out after the lever is pulled? If so they grey capacity is tiny. Are you supposed to drain the grey into the black while out boondocking?

Not sure but I think the shower drain goes in the black and the sink goes to grey or at least I think thats what it said on the TCM article. On my TC, the shower drain goes to grey. My sink goes to the outside (in a bucket) or in the grass.

What's the difference between the Yukon and polar? They look the same to me

The Polar is their "loaded" model while the Yukon is described as more basic.

I wish them luck in a tough market, but when I see a TC with no steps or rear deck and no awning it screams low end to me. But that's just my own view.

Also the wet bath looks to be pretty tight on floor space.

That struck me as strange as well, no steps, no rear bumper of any kind. Looks kind of odd sitting there.

One other thing I especially don't like, and something builders are getting away from is the horizontal seam at the rear skirt. covered with a vinyl trim piece glued on.

That is a 'destined to leak and rot' point in the future and most builders have eliminated it in favor of a one piece side wall design. Something I look for when buying a new camper because it's something I've had issue with in the past.

Actually, the bathroom is a dead ringer for the '97 Lance I sold a while back, right down to the 'porthole' mecessary cabinet.... it's tight.

Didn't know that the black drained into the gray water tank. Only the lower end campers tend to do that. Probably an option to upgrade it.

The bumper might be an additional cost option, but I can't find it on their website.

It's actually the other way around, grey drains into black. Far as rear bumper, it don't exist on their site, looked a couple days ago.

In my pop up camper, the toilet holding tank (black) is segregated from the shower and sink drain (grey) and the kitchen sink drains right out the side of the camper, usually into a bucket but sometimes in the grass, depending on where I'm camping at.

Said in the past I'd prefer NO black tank at all and a Cassette Toilet. Much easier to deal with. Less hardware, less plumbing. MY next unit will have that.
