If the money is going to a union which in turn will use it to get some libtard elected then I say Hecho en Mexico. Got a lot of family from Mexico since my uncle was a missionary and married a Mexican woman. I also have family that migrated there from Germany in the late 19th century. What people don't understand is that Mexico is just as much of a cultural melting pot as the US is, and they only believe Mexicans are brown. This is completely false. There are German-Mexicans, Irish-Mexicans, French-Mexicans, Polish-Mexicans, and so on.
Over 90% of skilled trade union members voted R this time around including me. I've been registered R for years. I try to buy union made whenever I can including my Prius. My first wife is Mexican. I have nothing against Mexican people. I've been told here on rv dot net that the Chrysler shops in Mexico are union.

Why would we not buy the best built item without regard to where it was manufacturer? That puts pressure on US companies to build a better product. Blindly buying an American made product puts no pressure on the company to build the best product.

To say Toyota is more American than Ford or GM is incorrect. There are a couple Toyota models in the top 10 but GM is the clear winner in that regard.
Take a look. You'll be surprised at the results.

Funny when I said the same thing about Toyota I got "quoted" and told I was a being a fanboy. People posting links showing Toyota as having the highest American content. Fast forward and it is just a few models now. LOL

It is not about how the members voted. It is about where the money from the union dues went, and who they tried to get elected. It is overwhelmingly one side. Maybe the other members and you can demand that your unions give money to both sides, but until they change this trend I would prefer not to buy a product made by UAW.
I don't care if the if Mexico is unionized. It is not about being a union although I refuse to join one because of past experiences. It is about who that union pays to get elected and Mexican Union dues do not go to any of my elected officials.

GM had to sell Allison but kept the rights to build the Allison that they're currently using in their trucks

Is this fact? "CURRENTLY" I assume means something. That was a few years ago, is that why they still use the 1000? Possible reason they can't or don't want to have ratings 30K + ?
