The hp/tq specs definitely don't directly correlate to the times on the uphill portion. Impressive none the less. That's a lot of weight to haul uphill.
Mind you, it doesn't have the wind resistance a large 5er would.

Well I like to see them all run, but, in 2011 and 2012 when Ram didn't have the ratings to match the Chevy and Ford, they didn't get to run the Ike. This year they just lowered the test to the lowest value.
It would be interesting to see how the Chevy would do with 4.10's.
It would be interesting to see an "RV" where the hook up a big heavy, Tall 5er and run the Ike.

The aerodynamic drag on a load like that is greater than an RV even though the surface area is smaller.

Really, when you look at the results - they are all so close it really doesn't matter.
The Chevy is pretty much 10 min 17 sec (as it was 10:16:99), and the Ram run ended with a red light forcing Nathan to guess where he would have been, and so on.
The only things I think one can say for sure is the GM Duramax is the fastest with this amount of weight, and the Ford didn't perform as expected on this one test given it's HP and TQ numbers.

I would be curious to see what the time would be for a 2016 f350 with the 4:30 gears is vs the 2017 with 4:10. Does it make up the few seconds the ford lagged behind?
BTW...my truck might be worse, but its still mine and ill keep it no matter how much slower.

15 sec over 10 min is only a 2.3 percent difference. So really, pretty insignificant.

I haven't watched the video but were these guys running at wide open throttle or were they holding back to stay within the speed limit? If the latter is the case this is meaningless. If the former is the case this is still meaningless because the fastest one is only 15 seconds quicker than the slowest one. Power isn't really a distinguishing quality with these newer diesel trucks and that's been the case for awhile.
