Fellows, this says it all that most of us on here have been saying. And the Ringling Brothers comparison has been mentioned many times. The management has no clue!

Have to confess the only part of the race I caught was Kyle Larson taking the checkered flag. Judging by the blistering article Bob Pockrass posted on ESPN website this morning, guess I missed a real three ring circus?

Derrike Cope Messing up a Cup driver win is karma for the Cup guys messing up the win for an Xfinity driver. Not much fun is it 78? [emoticon] [emoticon]

Thomas, I only saw the "overtime". On Friday night even with Jr. in the Xfinity race the crowd was non existent. Last night for the Cup, the crowd or lack thereof was astounding. The weather perfect.

Dunno Bob, but after watching the video of the ambulance incident, it certainly makes a case for NA$CAR to bite the bullet and establish a full time traveling track safety crew, including ALL medical personnel like IndyCar. That incident last night and in a pivotal race for some drivers was an embarrassment. And kinda looks like race control fumbled the ball with the status of pit road, but not to worry, NASCAR's Scott Miller says they're 'looking into it'.

The lowest common denominator turns out to be that NASCAR has NASCAR-style entertainment for sale.
Also, wherever a pneumatic tire hits the pavement there is friction. And, the higher the load the more friction there is. Friction is a very important element for the purpose of traction. Therefore, weight equals traction.
Without weight there would not be any NASCAR.
Don't make a big deal out of it. It's just another Willie-ism.
If NASCAR was perfect, they would sell fresh Spudnut Donuts in the infield concession stands, they're the best.
Is it true that they decided to include Matt Kenseth in the finals?

He backed in on points, though with the bad finish it's hard to understand how.

He did get in on points, helped by the 14 being out of the race.
