bucky wrote: ![]() On another note Subway has shamed themselves out of sponsoring Suarez this weekend because they saw a vid of him passing out doughnuts from a competitor. It was to be the last race in a 4 race deal. That is some funny stuff! OTOH, same thing Nature's Bakery did with Danica Patrick, though I still believe it was more about the owners committing to the SHR sponsorship without consulting the private equity firm investing in Nature's Bakery, and Danica's 'shadow endorsement' of a competitor's products on social media was just a convenient out. That said, I'm neither a fan of Subway or Dunkin's mass produced 'factory' donuts. Give me a Publix Supermarket Deli sub, or give me death! ![]() |

Cloud nailed the infraction. Of course this has been a problem that is with Toyota. They run the same body in Xfinity and Cup. Chev runs Camaros and Ford runs Mustangs. I assume Toyota has no body to match the Tangs and Camaros so they get two races to try stuff. Bill Elliot, one time when he was on a hot streak, had been running a cambered rear housing. The garage cops finally caught up with it, I believe it was Martinsville. His strong suit was never short tracks, came out "blazing" there and they finally caught up with it. Wasn't long they allowed a certain degree of camber. I, as many of the posters have said, for infractions, the drivers should lose the win, winning points gone, owners points gone. But several things enter in to this. Most drivers have no clue as to what is in or under that car. About the only time they are in it prior to a race is for seat fitting at the shop. Big Bill France always said he wanted the fan to know who won the race before leaving the track. Remembering the King Richard Petty had an oversized motor at Charlotte to give him win number 199. There was no way they were going to change that with the hope that at the Firecracker 400 coming up at Daytona he would get number 200 since either a seated president or one that was running for the office had already been invited to the 400. Well as you all guessed number 200 did come there. At that time you had a 24 hour cooling down period if the block measured big during the teardown at the track. Another thing in this current time period is the lack of sponsors. Everybody seems to believe corporate America doesn't like "Bad Boys'. Well this is one sport that needs some bad boys and coverage will make up for what corporate thinks it loses. As far as Subway, that deal happened back in July and they just now made a stupid decision? I believe they were looking for a quicker way out early and took this as a way to do it. My wife and I got a good laugh yesterday as were in Sam's Town Casino in Sin City. Subway has an outlet in there right beside Drunken Donuts. Subway did have a big sign out front stating "We have breakfast sandwiches".

....another one bites the dust... (no pun intended). Subway is pulling out of Nascar completely. Maybe Dunkin' Donuts will take their place with Gibbs. "If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane." Arctic Fox 25Y GMC Duramax Blue Ox SwayPro ![]() |

What would happen in Vegas if a win was taken away for cheating 3 days later? The encumbered rule has saved them a couple of times.

Quote: ![]() The 16-driver playoff field for the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series will be set following this race (Richmond). Just three points separate the trio of drivers currently holding on to the final postseason slots. If there is no new winner, Chase Elliott, Matt Kenseth and Jamie McMurray would all make the playoffs on points. But if there’s a fresh face in victory lane, one of the three will miss the postseason. When I say new winner I’m talking about someone other than the 13 winners so far. Remember, Joey Logano’s win doesn’t count towards the playoff. He should have been DQ’d but that’s for another column. If someone new does go to victory lane, the lowest in points from the three above is out. If any of those three win, all three are in. http://www.caledonianrecord.com/features........67dbd62-8dd8-59a4-be9e-c718210e56d7.html So there it is. I suspect Kyle Busch might take the win tomorrow. |

Like it or not, they don't take wins away. They can take everything that comes with it, but the win stays. 2020 F150 XL Screw 4x4 6.5”box 3.5 ecoboost Max tow HDPP 7850 GVW. 4800 RAWR 2565 payload 2020 Cougar 29RKS 5th wheel |
