Cloud Dancer, that goes with being a track owner or promoter. There are at times, slide byes, and enhancements are a given in the racing world.

Well Alex Bowman to replace Jr. in 2018. Nationwide on board but for only 19 races. Axalta for 2 races. More sponsor hunting!

They even had to cobble together full season sponsorship for Junior this season. Sign of the times I guess......

I read yesterday that Axalta is onboard for 15 races. Still a couple short but pretty good in today's market. Maybe Danica's wine can pick up the rest.

Interesting Read

I was always of the belief this race was something of a novelty skillfully promoted by Bill Jr. But, because Indianapolis isn't really built and configured for taxi cab racing, the bloom is off the rose. Then came the tire debacle which was the big nail in the coffin. The crowds didn't return, and if 60000 was the extent of the crowd last year that certainly sounds like diminishing returns for both IMS and NASCAR.

Ya Kasey....a local boy for us. Grew up just down the road.

He looked terrible after the race. Looked like he was going to collapse before all the 10 hat changes, photos and "Kiss the Bricks" celebration was done with.

Kasey was worn out big time.

That wasn't a race, it was survival of the luckiest. I'm fairly neutral on the 48 but darn if he didn't spark it up a little there at the end.
I wonder where the 5's nitrous was hidden? [emoticon]

I sure was pulling for Kyle Busch to complete the trifecta. But, who could've predicted that super-car, good-guy Marten Truex would slip and take both of them out. But, I had something to celebrate about, Kasey Kahne (in a Chevy) was finally vindicated. Congratulations to him and his loyal fans. How fitting.
