Speaking of impressive....47 wins and at least 1 win at EVERY track. Like him or hate him, I say he deserves to take a bow. "If we couldn't laugh we would all go insane." Arctic Fox 25Y GMC Duramax Blue Ox SwayPro ![]() |

Never ever said he wasn’t a great driver. Just that he acted like a spoiled brat for several years. I could hear a little something in Jeff’s voice after the race. If my memory is correct, both Jeff Gordon and Tony Stewart lacked a win at only one track when they retired. Sitting in a campground about 85 driving miles west of the Brickyard with too many trees for the satellite to work, we lost the local Fox TV station for much of the race due to scattered thunderstorms. Saw most of the first stage and the last 50 laps. Kyle was definitely in a groove, and I understand his pit crew was perfect all night long. They also deserve some accolades for putting Kyle in a position where he could run his own race. When i tell people I'm a Kyle Busch fan, they either say "he's the best driver" or they roll their eyes. I like it better when they roll their eyes.![]() 2020 F150 XL Screw 4x4 6.5”box 3.5 ecoboost Max tow HDPP 7850 GVW. 4800 RAWR 2565 payload 2020 Cougar 29RKS 5th wheel |

Also a big Kyle Busch fan here, have been from back when Rick Hendrick couldn t handle his behavior. Coach Gibbs saw the potential and he knew what he had as far as driver ability went. The progression of Kyle Busch under coach Gibbs guidance and direction is what we see today, probably one of the top three Nascar drivers of this era.

Not a Busch fan, but it’s getting hard to hate a guy that’s so darn good

Raleigh's News and Observer (and surely other news outlets) has an article that they printed yesterday and again today asking if Danica should be considered for the HOF. Just shaking my head in wonderment at the sheer idiocy of that concept. Puma 30RKSS ![]() |

Count me among those who feel she was good for NASCAR, good for Indy Car. But she was a middle of the pack driver at best. Like a lot of people who start out in open wheel, she never seemed to overcome the extra weight of a stock car. They simply do not respond to the driver input as quickly as an open wheel car. Do we put Michael Waltrip, Dave Blaney, Mike Skinner, Phil Parsons, Dave Marcus into the Hall of Fame? |

NASCAR's HOF has a contrived feel to it anyway. 5 people a year inducted; maybe it's just a game of catch up to stock the venue as it were. Auto racing doesn't seem big enough to support more than the existing International Motorsports HOF. Danica in an HOF? That's a participation trophy. The City of Charlotte is certainly taking a bath on it.

Thomas, correct you are about the bath Charlotte is taking on the HOF. Also like how they jury rigged the races entered by Jeff Gordon, scrubbing the eight races he entered after he "retired", so he and Smoke Stewart wouldn't be on the HOF ballot in the same year. Reminds me of the NASCAR rule book! Not to worry about Ms. Patrick, when she feels she isn't relevant in racing, going by the her quotes at Indy, and her ego takes a big hit, she will be unretired.

I totally agree that she was good for NASCAR but a lot of people are and were that are never going to be in the HOF. I respect her as a human and wish her well in whatever she does but she should have stayed in open wheel. |
