I bought a new Palomino truck camper back in 2010. It had a leak from the start and water damaged the front cap. I thought oh no they are such a cheap camper they will never fix this. I was wrong. I took it to another Palomino dealer 1.5 hours from me where I never even bought it from and Palomino came an got it, took it back to the manufacture plant, repaired it and brought it right back to my house and helped me load it back on my truck. It looked good as new. I turned around and sold it for what I paid for it and bought a Montana fifth wheel. Now that is customer service.

Your Original Post could get you into libel.
You infer that you bought directly from the manufacturer.
There was no dealer - nor any dealer interaction.

Right there is a lot of empty accusatory information.
Nice video though.

bighat, truth is a complete defense to a libel suit. The OP documented his beef pretty carefully. One may or may not agree with his point of view, but he is at no risk of liability.

Yeah nobody is going to give this guy any grief...he can speak his mind here as long as the moderator feels the information is not breaking any rules on the forum. Remember this...if you got a beef with something...think it out. Be reasonable and let the world know you position without malice. It is educational to us all. Who has read the entire tread? 16 pages and counting...a lot to be learned and if the door opened and closed the other way we wouldn't even be here.. IMHO.

True. False and false.
There are so many omissions here that it should be obvious.
Did he buy it factory direct?
Or through a dealer?
What was the dealer response?
Errors of omission
are all over this post - thus the window for libel.

It doesn't sound like they lost your sale. You didn't even stay with a truck camper. Besides, I'm pretty sure your '98 doesn't have a factory warranty. Not that it's a problem. I like to buy used out of warranty as well.

lost a sale?? Need to close this thread.

Glad you liked my videos on the Adventurer Owner's Forum Billy Ray. It's too bad I won't be participating anymore or posting videos to it as I don't have the same enthusiasm for the brand as I used to [emoticon]

I guess I'm confused .... how and where did I "infer" that I bought the camper directly from the manufacturer ? You think I drove from Georgia to Yakima WA. to buy a camper ? My transaction in buying the camper from D&H RV in North Carolina is well documented in another video on my channel. The dealer is 360 miles away (720 mile round trip). I had contacted the dealer about the fridge not working the first day of our first trip in the camper and he referred me to Adventurer who then told me that I needed to deal with Dometic on my own. I can understand this and didn't have a problem. The door issue was what I considered a factory defect (not a supplier) and that's why I contacted the factory warranty people. No need to involve the dealer who is so far away. When I contacted the warranty department, I was simply looking for advice on how to make the repair and asked for their help in repairing it. Their response is chronicled in the video as a result. Please explain why you think I am liable for anything ?
