I'm heading south to NC. I got an email today saying it would be delivered this week. Now I have to try and clear my schedule so I can go get it. Again I would like to take a week to pick it up so I can use it a bit before bringing it north.

We hear a lot about the NH dealer but nothing about the NY or NC dealer. It would be nice to see how well they treat you in your write up. I found considerable differences in the four Host dealers I contacted on the far western side of the states. Pricing, sales approach, communication, ... Each were recommended by a customer, so finding the right dealer really means matching the best one to your individual expectations or particular needs.

I agree with the above. I think Bill in NH actually owns the dealership in NY. He told me he had basically moved everything to NH because of taxes. I would have tried to work a deal with him but he did not want my AF in trade. I will let you know how things go in NC.

Well I pulled the trigger on a pair of Honda Eu2000is parallel kit with covers. I chose to go this route after much thought between these generators and the eu3000is and the Champion 3400 watt generator. All could have worked for me but mainly it came down to weight of the bigger generators. The main drawback to me for the eu2000is is the small fuel tank, but this can be fixed easily with a extended run tank. I eventually ruled out the Champion due to the small tank and wasn't too keen on using the extended run kit which required the installation of a fuel pump. The eu3000is is a great option other than it's really heavy and I plan on hauling all this on the front cargo carrier.

I grabbed a pair last year for the same reason. The built in generator in the AF is nice but it is loud. Easy to start, just push a button inside the coach. I'm not that old that I can't go out and start a gen set. Not yet!
Just called D&H, the truck is in Nebraska in a ice storm. Will get there tuesday and unload. We will head down Sunday and hope to grab it on Monday. Getting close. I will take pics and weights.

Same here. I carry them in the truck bed if we're pulling the 5th. They will fit behind my truck front seats on the floorboard if I'm in the Bigfoot. I do have a front receiver and a cargo carrier but can't get my head around what to store them in on the carrier. I've looked at Colemans military surplus for storage boxes and may do that. I just hate to leave them in plain sight.

if you have a front reciever and a metal tray rack that fits it call Torklift. On their locking sidekick set up for the Honda 2000 the tray and hasp for the generator gets bolted to the receiver portion. You could bolt two of the trays onto a rack tray side by side and have them secure and you could run them from the rack without having to move them to power the TC. See if they can sell you that portion
