On the road with my continuing adventures, Mt Rainier in Mt Rainier National Park.

Picture on another day, sitting atop my Lance Camper during an evening’s sunset.

For ten days I was lucky to be boondocking, hiking, exploring and have this remarkable view out my window, every day (well, when the weather didn’t bath the mountains with clouds). This is a remarkable place, Mt Rainier National Park. In 1979 I had accepted a job here, as a backcountry National Park Ranger. But it seemed the call to become a state policeman was louder. I’ll never regret the choice I made, as the outcome of becoming a husband and a father was the greatest reward a man could have. For which I will be eternally grateful, for. It was certainly a Benchmark in my life in what direction I might have taken. I am pleased I finally made the journey here, albeit, 35 years later.

Here's the view out of our window at the last campground that we stayed in New Mexico on our recent trip. We were the only ones in this BLM campground and with the senior pass, it was $4.00 for the night and we were the only ones there! (see my blog : http://truckntravels.blogspot.com/

A little October camping on a small creek near the Hood Canal Washington. 70 degree and dry camping weekends are rare in Western Washington this time of year.

The Wife loved being there and hearing her babbling brook all day long. Me, cool for a few minutes, kinda like Clark W Griswold looking at the Grand Canyon.

I soon after hiked up the road to fish in bigger water. Notice 2 beers ready for my hike!

Entire campground to ourselves.[image]

You don't get to see that right in front of your TC window often.

The cliffs at Zion from the door of our trailer (which thinks it is a truck camper, so don't let the cat out of the bag):

And this is Kodachrome Basin State Park, east of Bryce, from the kitchen window:
