Bghouse, I would go agm anyway. Ford makes a bracket for putting a battery underneath. Or so I've read. I had a welder make a bracket to mount a second battery underneath the Trail Lite B Plus we had. When it's hard to get to like that, an agm is essential. Run big enough cables between the two. Both should be matching agm.

We have a 600 watt inverter with our two battery system. I mounted it in the kitchen cabinet, within 3 feet of my batteries. I'm sure you can find a place. Ask on the tech forum for help when the time comes. The farther from the batteries, the larger the cable, basically.

No, I don't have the same model as you are looking at. But it's the same size and has the same stuff on top.

Currently RV-less but not done yet.

Thanks Snowman9000, that all sounds very promising. I don't intend to keep the overhead area for sleeping, and plan to turn into storage instead - so that should help find a spare space for the inverter.

Not "reconditioned" to your satisfaction? Well why did you buy it then? Were you forced or coerced? The only included warranty is one of limited powertrain...engine, trans, rear axle. An aftermarket service contract is available for purchase.

No but I did drive 3 hours for the unit that I was told would be reconditioned, took the day off work and my wife took the day off as well to do that - I was just hoping that they would have lived up to what they advertise and the fact I was told the extra keys would be here in a month. The repairs were easy for meto do as there were not a lot but someone that was not comfortable in doing them would have been in trouble.

For me it's about the salesman selling me an RV that is unfit to drive. It needed new brakes, new shocks and a serious front end alignment. These items should have been replaced during refurbishing process. It was a danger to drive.

Last words from me re: this topic. I talked with National Sales and they are refunding me the $$ I put into it. It took a lot of back and forth for this to happen. I am very pleased that they did this, but frustrated with the refurbishment process. It was a danger to drive, National agreed. Period.

Hello again, I have a question and a brag.

First of all, folks with CA 23A models with dualy wheels in the back, do any of you use tire valve extensions? If so, which ones? Do I need to replace the original valve stems? I want to purchase an air compressor, can I purchase an inexpensive one that works on car tires, or should I purchase one designed for high pressure, RV tires?

Finally, I installed a back up camera that can stay on while driving or just work when backing up. It has a nice sized monitor. I feel more confident driving having this tool.

I also discovered that there is a small solar panel already installed. Looks like a trickle charge for the house battery. Anyone else find one of these on their CA?

What upgrades have you done?

What is needed is a extended valve stem that will let you quickly check your tire pressure. Braided Extenders have a very bad habit of leaking.Just replace yours with the extended ones.

The best on the market, that are the original, are Tire Man.

Chuck is the original designer of these an he has been around for years. If you have any questions just give him a call, he is always happy to help.

The kit looks like This it is for all 6 wheels, they also come with flow-thru valve caps so you don't even need to take them off to check the pressure.

Here is a list of all the products he sells.

They are compatible with all Tire monitor systems.

VERY little charge, it adds some but not a lot of charge. I have found after a couple months of sitting that you need to plug in to top off.

I've been lurking for a while, and finally decided to join the club.

I'm the third owner of a 2006 Four Winds Majestic 28A. It has almost 152k miles and seems to run like a champ so far. We've spent 8 nights in it and are really satisfied.

Thanks to all of you who helped me feel good about buying the rig!

Edit: does anyone have experience adding airbag suspension to this specific rig? Which kind did you use (specific model number)?

I have had my 28A for a little over a month now and love it! We have done some over night boondocking before we do our 1st big trip in July. We have added some USB chargers, a TV, Vent covers , a 600W inverter and some convenience items in the kitchen like a magnetic knife holder and a spice clip rack.

The roof solar panel is a bit of a joke. I added a portable GoPower Solar charger, that has no issue charging the house battery.

justinhscott, first welcome to the Forum and the Former Rental Club.
You will be #92 on a long list of happy owners.[image]

As the 3rd owner, has there been any Mods that that have been added that make it more user friendly? This may be of help to other owners that are looking to make their RV more personalized.

Have a great camping season and let us all know how it went.
