Very interesting stuff. So I will do exactly as I did before with my GMC. When my Nitrogen filled tires start to get low I will simply empty 'em out completely and fill 'em up with some Good Ol' Air. After all it doesn't look like my RV will be taking flight or riding 150 miles plus per hour at the Indy 500 anytime soon!!!

Over two years with my 23A from CA here in SoCal. My only regret so far? Buying those two extended warranties. 3G's wasted. This thing is bullet proof mechanically and any small issues I have had (just like any owner) have been fixed by myself for pennies after asking questions here. Solar room on the roof? Tons on the 23A I have a 160W panel on the roof of mine and I also have a 100W portable I deploy when needed. Someone asked if 100W was enough. IMHO, without getting into solar too much, the answer is absolutely no and I don't even have a TV in my RV and I live in sunny SoCal. 200W is a minimum when using the furnace lightly at night. Now if the sun is perfect, and even here it rarely is, 160W does the trick by 5pm.

I have read all of your posts regarding your experience with the purchase of of CA 28A. All great posts and I have learned a lot. Infact, in about 2 weeks I'll be taking a drive out to Florida to buy a 28A myself. I have a few quick questions for you. What brand GPS do you use on your unit and what is the total CCC of the 28A? I know that CA puts a label somewhere on the passenger side door that states the CCC.
Also, what brand TPMS do use for the tires? Look forward to your input. Thanks.

My wife and I are buying our first RV. After a lot of research, we decided to go with a 2006 Fleetwood Jamboree GT 31 W from El Monte RV. We're going to pick it up in about 2 weeks... First stop will be Las Vegas!!

First post since joining. This thread helped narrow my search. I'm taking delivery next weekend on a 2012 27g from Cruise America.
Drove well but before I even use for the first time I will be getting an alignment and new bilsteins along with an upgraded trailer hitch.
The interior of the CA homes are not my preference however the overall value is. I'm primarily going to use this as a tow vehicle for the race car so I can be more comfortable during race weekends.
The 2012 E450 with the GCVW of 22k is what appealed to me and when we were scoping it out we spotted a lot of minor things that needed to be addressed of which they took care of. So other than the fact that I will need to get the frame reinforced for a 10k hitch, replace the shocks, get tune up and do alignment - I didn't see a better "value" anywhere else. We did add a 14' manual awning during the time of purchase.
The thing about the 27G over the 28a that I like was the slightly smaller dimensions suited my needs better and the fiberglass front shell with it's added height made the inside front seem very tall.
Other add-ons that are on the very-short list are: rear-view camera, replace the interior LED lights with ones that are "blue light", 5-star Tuning tuner and maybe a steering stabilizer if the alignment doesn't improve things.
