Same motor and at least 1500 lbs lighter, it should not have any trouble climbing anything the 28A did.

I am almost sure the 23A has the V10 unless they changed things the 22E has the V10 on the 350 chassis.

I can promise you the 23A is a V8 on the E350 chassis. The 28A is the V10 on the E450.

My 23a is a v8 I know this for a fact as I've wrenched every possible maintenence item you possibly can.
I don't trust the pm schedule as going through mine wasn't the worst I've ever seen but definitely way past due on pretty much everything. Still love my majestic but would rather get a el monte if I was to do it again.
There were 8 plugs and 8 coil boots as I changed them out as recommended here. Was gonna do coils but read they just randomly fail so have a spare just in case. One was replaced as it was newer and didn't look like the others. At first it was intimidating then once into it wasn't that hard just lots of patience sorry for the ramble.

My budget is $30K for the motor home, plus another $10K for taxes, upgrades, etc. I will have about half of that at the time of purchase, but would like to spread out the second half over a year. I have the 23A V8 on the E350 chassis. My buddy has the exact same length Majestic as I do but with the V10 on a E450 chassis (sorry don't know his model number). We camp in Colorado mountains all the time. We both left his house at the same time with full tanks of gas. We pulled over 4 hours later to fuel up at the same time and he put in 17 more gallons than I did and I am pretty sure we have the same size tanks. I kept up (barely - he lost me on the real big mountains but I caught up). It is slow going on some of the passes and people get pissy but not my problem I can only do what my machine lets me. Going up one pass it bogged down to 30 mph in first gear at 4500 RPMs. That was a mountain pass not a highway. I say go with what you are comfortable with. Mine works GREAT for me!

Not necessarily, you might have a 35 gal. tank, while your friend has a 55 gal. tank.

On the last trip I put in 46 gallons on one stop and it was still reading about a 1/4 tank full. So I know I have a tank greater than 35 gallons and at least 50.
