WOW Wednesday, that sounds great. Sounds like maybe some Drive-way Camping for Thanksgiving..Or adventurous on the road.
The 12/12 that they give is a good one and I have only heard of 2 that have had to use it and they were both satisfied with the results.
This One
Here is another one plus a full tank of Gas.
The extended warranty (insurance policy) is up to you, but they are just that, and are in the business of making money not paying out if they can. The fine print or the interpretation of it is up to them.
My experience with one was not a good one, long story, and not a good one.
Have Fun with your New RV and Happy Thanksgiving

Since we've got some cold weather coming into SoCal, probably won't take it anywhere for Thanksgiving, but a driveway camp could happen. I even have a dump station in my driveway :-)
Will keep in mind your opinion on the extended coach warranty as I read the fine print. Kind of leaning toward passing, since it really needs tires, too. The service department says the tires are in safe condition; I say the last time I saw such cracked inner sidewalls on a mounted tire, it was on a junkyard crawl during my musclecar-oriented youth. I'm going straight to a tire shop here in San Diego tomorrow before I even take it home, and getting 6 new Toyos put on it. It's just one of those better-safe-than-sorry-things. The tires are less than 5 years old (they say; there's no date code on the outer sidewalls), but more than 4 years, so I'd have to replace them soon anyway.
Will post a pic as soon as I can.

That tire thing sounds good, better safe than sorry.
Let the cold come,I am already set up here in Yorba Linda, 22 miles from home.
Last year was at the KOA in Chula Vista, nice place we do it every so often, but the drive is a pain.
Wish I had a dump at home, that is where I store it. looking forward to the pics.
Have a good one and happy CAMPING!

LOL. When my parents built this house, they were between motorhomes but knew they would get another one, so they had a dump put into the sewer line. If I ever had to get the house tented or something, I could just move into the RV for a few days, hook up the water and sewer, and be good to go. I don't have 50-amp service on the front of my garage, though. At least, not yet

Well, I brought my El Monte Bounder 35H home today. It drove great on the freeway and now proudly resides in my driveway (I have a big driveway ![smile [emoticon]](http://www.coastresorts.com/sharedcontent/cfb/images/smile.gif)
I did decide to go with the 4-year extended warranty on the coach. It covers frame, wheel bearings, suspension, brakes, in addition to the coach systems. More or less everything but the power train itself, and that has El Monte's 12/12 warranty.
Running a 5K in the morning tomorrow, then roasting the turkey. Getting new tires on Friday.
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone, and thanks to all for the great information in this thread!

Well DW and I went to Texas and bought a 2008 (so we thought) Tioga 31M from El Monte. All of the paperwork we signed for financing and such had 2008 listed on it. On our way home to Indiana while driving across Arkansas, DW started looking through the manuals they included. They were all for a 2007 model. We didn't think much of it, we just figured the manuals had gotten shuffled around and the wrong years given to us...that was Monday. Flash forward to today while really going over the unit and looking at other things on it besides leak checking and things to fix...I noticed the tag on the side listing the build date on the house, it was 05/07. That set off a few alarm bells in my head, so I checked the chassis date on the inside of the drivers door and it's 04/07. So now I'm starting to get a little ticked and it only got worse when I looked at the registration paper they had tucked in the on the console, it listed the unit as an 07. Further research today taught me that the 10th digit in the VIN code indicates the model year. Ours is a 7. I've looked at a random assortment of the units listed on El Monte's site and they are all off a year. (the site lists them a year newer than their VIN says they should be).
I have an email into the salesman that helped us and plan on calling him in the morning. I'm more than a little ticked at this because we wanted an 08, and thought we were getting an 08 based on the website and finance documentation. (a big reason was the 5000lb hitch) Shame on me for not verifying the dates on the house/chassis but it never occurred to me that they wouldn't match to what was being listed. Had the date been 2007 on the finance paperwork or anywhere along the line DW or I would have caught it.
Anyone else run into this type of issue with them?
