I have figured out the bypass valves on this RWS
I know that the switches below the sink are for gas or electric on/off water heater.
If you could find tell me the purpose of the water heater switch in the upper control panel inside the entrance door it would be very helpful. I have heard that is for tank heater (which I have never seen on any warrior)? or maybe in series switch for the water heater switches below sink?
My fear, and maybe it is no concern, is that both the gas and electric switches have been on all of the time and the control panel switch has been turning both gas and electric waterheater systems on, maybe this is also OK?
Just a little confused.
Thanks,
Pat

Ya know - all this time I was under the impression, because the previous owner told me, that the heater switch on the control panel was for the tank heaters (waste and fresh). I studied my manual again last night and the only thing I could find that made mention of that switch said it was to run the hot water heater on propane. I've never used that switch though and the switches under the sink have run the water heater with either electric or gas. Curious. Is it a redundant switch for gas? When the weather gets better here I'm going to trace the wires to see where it goes and what it controls.

I have a rwt3400, and I was unaware that my water heater, was gas/electric hybrid? I also did not know I had tank heaters. Were these items standard? Does anyone have any photos of what controls operate them?

The switches below the sink are described in the water heater manual
The switch on the control panel is described nowhere

Hey Pat - there's a section towards the back of the manual that talks about the monitor panel for the waste tanks. Not sure of the page number right now but I'll relay later when I get home. Read that section and you'll see it talks about all the switches on the control panel (pictures would have been good of course) including the tank monitor, the inverter control, heater, etc.. It states there that the heater switch is to turn on propane for heater. They certainly could have been more clear and included more photos like they did for the water control station. But hey - that's why we have this thread. Might be better to have a complete site for these units, but I'm of the not knowing in that regard. If anyone knows how to setup a website we could all put our 2 cents in.

Hi Judson - yes the hot water heater is a hybrid. Selection switches are under the kitchen sink on the left side. Lightning bolt for electric operation, flame for gas. I have to say- even using only electric at campgrounds - the water in that tank stays hot for at least 6 hours. (During summer months anyway) but you can switch to gas if you need hot water on the fly. We're still unsure about the tank heaters at this point. My previous owner told me the heater switch on the control panel was for tank heaters and that's what I believed, until last night. I've never used it. After reading the om I now believe it's just a redundant switch for hot water gas valve usage. Tracing wiring in the spring will help me id it then. Welcome aboard!

I think that is instruction for RWT which may not gave switches below sink? I think RWS is different?. I think RWT has metal bypass and RWS has plastic?

I was able to access my manual on google drive and on page 41 there is a section about the monitor panel. It carries over to page 42 whee it mentions the gas water heater switch. Says after the heater lights the red indicator will go off.

Played with RV yesterday. The monitor panel light never comes on but I think the switches are wired in series. Both the monitor panel switch AND one or both of the switches under sink have to be on for water heater to work....try yours and see if you agree....

I've never turned that switch on. Just the switches under the sink and the heater works either gas or electric.
