Hey Theo! Thanks! Yah - we love the changes we made. The new table and seating is so much easier to get 4 people to sit comfortably at and then covert it to a bed just by moving the locking lever and sliding the table down to its platform position. The new jacknife sofa is very comfortable as well and is easy to convert to a bed too. We went with the ultimate leather seating from discountvantruck.com

We asked for color swatches so we could see what the material was like and to get a good color match. They made the jacknife to the exact size we needed - 64" comes to mind. With the dinette seating in place we were able to determine how wide a table would have to be - I believe we ordered a 24" but it had to be cut down an inch or so. Head to toe laying on the dinette is now 72". It wasn't cheap - but it looks and feels real good. Excellent quality in the build. If you want more pics let me know. We're heading for Lake George, NY next week for vacation. I could snap some then. Let me know. Hope all is well!

Welcome to the super C class. We have a Dynamax 35 foot with 350 hp Cat. Allison 6 speed. We got 11 mpg going from Maryland to Florida. Wife and I have been happy with our unit just have not had the time to use it much this year. It seems when you retire you become a baby sitting target.
Good luck hope to see you on the road.

Hi All,
we are picking up a 2008 RWT 3400 Today...
Doing final walk thru with original owner...
She bought it new, and ordered everything and every option from the factory to her liking...AND OURS lol
It only has 8800 miles...
This RV shows the signs of little use and meticulous care of a strong organized woman...
This Lady knows about her RVs...Single mom with Power.

I have read the entire forum here and I am comfortable with the Purchase.
I believe we are Paying top Dollar for it.
People were calling and arranging Financing while we were there checking it out.
It showed better than the already good photos she Posted...

The difference is, we surprised her with a Bank Check in here name for $xx,xxx.xx , and Bill of Sale ready to go.... and a Cash to negotiate with her.
I don't like to waste a sellers time....or mine...so we came prepared.

We struck a deal, after an hour walk thru ...and BEFORE the test Drive. (don't like to waste time lol)
Test drive was better than expected.

Please, give me updates on your experiences with this Rig.
We will use in Southern California and Western half of the Country.
Towing a 6,000 lb MasterCraft Boat here and there.
Some Desert stuff in the Winter (it has the Garage too)

We are Excited!!!

Warning: Recent Propane flex hose problems found:
Short story: inspect the rubber hose that runs under your seating area slideout to the heater under the dining table couch. Make sure it is not kinking or caught on something, or damaged in any way. make sure there are no screws or sharp objects protruding into this space that the line is supposed to travel freely in. You will have to remove the rear drawer and inspect the access area under the drawer where the hose is supposed to be able to move freely. I will post photos later.

Long story: I recently has issues with my furnace under the dining table not heating as is was supposed to. It would operate, but only when the slidout was in a partially closed position. I inspected the rubber fuel hose that is routed from the driver side storage cabinet up through the floor and into the slidout space. I found the line was kinked around and caught on a screw that penetrated through the floor into the area under the slidout. The hose outer rubber layer was damaged by the kinking and rubbing on the screw, but not leaking yet. When I found it I was seriously shocked by the potenetial danger of fire and explosion this damaged propane hose could have had. I will post photos of what I found when i have more time.

Just picked up a 3400 RWS and drove it from CA to AZ!

Really nice RV with only 6300 miles (now 7000)

Few questions

1. I had one of the RWT's before and seem to have misplaced the old weekend warrior owners email address. Does anyone have it?

2. This RWS has waterheater on off switches below kitchen sink and in master panel inside entrance door. Why two locations?

3. This RWS has a Waterheater bypass under kitchen sink. Which way is in service and which way is bypass?

The previous owner kept a great record of service and has ALL manuals build documents etc If anyone needs copies of anything let me know.

Hi Theo - I should have mentioned that same problem when I found it in mine. Did not have a screw protrude through but did have a kink when slid out. We were having an issue with the fridge not working on propane all that good but thought it was the fridge itself. Didn't really think much about it. I had reason (explain later) to remove the table and seats and install a second floor to make it more rigid (and to cover up the table pole hole) and that's when I saw the hose kinking where it comes out of the hole in the house floor. It was a plastic/rubber hose that, when extended, folded over. I figured that it could possibly split from the constant movement so I checked with a plumber friend and he assured me that this hose is designed to withstand that type of mishap. I trust him but could not help but replace the hose. I went to Home Depot and found the same size I.d. Gas grille hose with fittings on each end. I think it was 8' long. I then went over to the section where they have brass fittings and found a barbed fitting to go I to the original hose, an elbow to attach to that and then attached the new hose to the fitting. Easy enough. Then I positioned the new hose assembly under the slide out floor so it would coil out and back when operating the slide. I then attached a short section of piping to the hose with fittings and mounted it to the slide out floor with clamps typically used for mounting conduit to a wall. Then the copper tubing from the fridge attached to the pipe. All fittings were sealed with Teflon tape made specifically for propane/gas connections - it's yellow. Several checks proved the coil worked great without kinking during slide operation. My heater was moved to the other side of the rig during the reno so there was no impact to it, but the connection type is the same if your heater is still on the slide.

So the reason I had to go through the removal of the new seating and table and add a second floor surface- the dope that did the install for me messed up badly attaching the table bracket to the wall with just #6 self tapping screws into the 1/8" panel walls. He didn't even hit a "stud" with any of the screws he put in and the table loosened up during travel. I came up with a plan to install a second layer of wallboard, wainscot panels actually, onto the existing panel to give me at least 3/8" wall to mount the table bracket to a more solid surface. I used construction adhesive on the wainscot and constructed bracing to go from the right side solid wall to the left side slide out moveable wall and used the power of the slide to bring it all in and apply pressure while it was drying. I left it there for a few days to be sure it set up good. Then I added a "chair rail" at the top of the wainscot using adhesive and many brads at many angles to keep it attached. Caulked and painted to match and it looks like it was there from day 1. I installed a new carpet on the slide, which is now 3/4" higher than before but does not crate a trip issue or anything and feels so much more solid. Reinstalled seating and and attached table bracket to the wall with butterfly anchors to be sure it won't pull out again.

It seems like it was a lot of work but it really wasn't. After going through all that I had to stop and ask myself why I paid someone to do this. I certainly could have done it myself the first time around and not have had to deal with the inadeqacies that the shop, who specializes in rv's, apparently had. Stupid stuff!

I do love our new seating and sleeping arrangements as do our kids and/or guests.

Fred- welcome back! I remember we had posted each other some time ago.

Sorry I can't help with the email address you're looking for. You could try warrior lifestyles website.

The heater switches under the sink are for the water heater, electric or propane selection. The heater switches in the control panel are for the waste tank heaters.

Each time I go to winterize or open the rig I forget which way to turn the valve too. I have to refer to my owners manual. Do you need a copy? You said you had all manuals? It's in there. Let me know if I can help in any way.

Our any is up for the winter with about a foot and a half of snow topping it off [emoticon]

The next project we're going to have to deal with is a new roof. I'm not liking the way that the ceiling material is looking from what seems to be a bit of seepage at each panel. It looks like the roof is made with 4x8 sheets going across and at each seam on the interior there is a bit of a dark line appearing. Hoping its not mold. Not wanting any further detraction fro the appearance, or possibility of water getting in, I'm going to seek pricing to replace the rubber roof.

On another note: we replaced the tires last spring, due to sidewall cracking - not wear, with Hankook A11's because the original Michelins were VERY expensive (roughly $460 each) and the Hankooks had decent reviews on the super c forum. Well- what a waste of time and money! No matter what they tried they could not get a good balance on the Hankooks! Several attempts and replacing front shocks and costing over $800 in balance fees alone - now I'm going back to the Michelins this spring. Should have just spent the money up front for the Michelins.
