Okay, anniversary notwithstanding, I had to go out and drill holes in rear tie down iron for eyebolts, just to see if the idea was gonna work. Good news. It did. Rear turnbuckles are installed and ready to tighten down, and we start working in front tomorrow. We hooked up water supply to be sure we had no more leaks inside. Plumbing now appears fully functional. Last, but certainly not least, I removed cooking area vent fan to have a look-see. Fan appears shot, so we'll have to find a replacement. Coming right along. Starting to seriously think about our shakedown trip. See y'all on the roads, or in the parks. tonyj & Shirley '66 AVION C-10 '86 F-250 6.9 DIESEL KJ4OEQ 146.520MHz CB Channel 7 |

I took the truck out for a test drive after it came back from the shop. I took it in because the CEL was on and I had some performance issues. They had to replace the EGR Valve, Injection Pressure Control Sensor under the turbo (ICP) the 3 wire pigtail for it, the Injection Pressure Control Regulator (IPR) , and reprogram the PCM. It now has good power even when cold. smooth power band from a stop to speed vs hesitation then a kick in after you hit 5-6 mph. I pulled up to a tall curb came to a dead stop then backed up and over it with tons of power, had to bump it before. They seem to have fixed all the issues. Put the camper back on, ready to head out tomorrow night

ICP on your 03 truck is beside the turbo and is lots of fun to change.

I repaired my air conditioning housing, I had accidentally glanced off a low tree branch and put holes and cracks in it. Turned out great. I used screen and bondo and then repainted it. Bob in Calif. Good Sam Club Life Member

Cut the tree off my truck from the tornado that came thru. 6000 in damages to truck no damage to the lance and the on board generator ran the fridge and freezer in the house till power came on. Only thing that sucks is I have only had my new to me truck for a week and a hafe. O well nobody got hurt that is the main thing. Beefie |

Changed the oil in the generator only 50 hrs on it but it might have been original oil in a 98 camper. The oil looked really good probably a overkill but its done

The front left Happijac was just about seized; so I was forced to do the tear down and lube. There was no lube what so ever on the worm gear and it was slightly rusted. I had to do a bit of rust removal prior to lubing it. Being that I am not at home (at my brother in laws who has less tools then I cary in my truck), I will wait till I get home to do the other 3 as they sound good. The write up for the tear down by KKELLER14k was great. The jack sounds good now. 06 Chevy Silverado 3500 Crewcab SRW 4WD - Allison 6 speed & Duramax LBZ. ![]() Must say, last couple was days off from working on camper. Just too dang hot. Sorry gang, but when heat index goes up around 105, tonyj hangs out by the radio, or, as today, helps Momma, if she doesn't throw me out of her kitchen. Nineteen pints of pickled okra got put up today. They'll be awesome for camping snacks, if I don't go through them all at once. |
