went work camping. Just pulled into the show venue in San Juan Bautista. I will be here until Sunday night with all three of my dogs as the wife had to go do a family thing and I just couldn't leave the furballs on their own.![]()

Started getting ready to leave on vacation. Had to remount the truck plug wiring.......I forgot to unplug when I unloaded it......DUH. Finished some painting inside. Had to remount the electric center that was ready to fall out, guess the 15 miles on the wash board road in the desert did the deed on the last outing. Waiting on some parts to come in to fix the foot pedal on the toilet and still have to re finish the floor of the shower.....heck I may even get my new dinette table top on. T-minus 5 days till launch....

packed up the first aid station, stowed all the pots and pans, Honda 2000, rolled up and secured the awning took the pooches for one last walk, waved good by to horse show management and hit the road for home. 25 mph crosswinds and moderate freeway traffic ( I hate road boulders , ie: folks going 55-60 in the fast lane with no one in front of them). Reached home, dumped the grey and black tanks, cleaned out the fridge. just in time to snap this picture from my yard.

No work on the camper itself, though I did finally finish the paved patio area around my deck at my home site .

Modification: Took control of how the basement fan works on the Arctic Fox (the camper I love to hate). Normal operation: When the furnace heater turns on, power is simultaneously sent to the basement fan. Warmed air is thus circulated into the basement. The bad: When hooked up to shore power and using an electric heater, or catalytic heater, there is no ability to turn on the basement fan to heat the freezing basement. Solution: Install an automotive on/off switch in series with a diode to manually provide power to the basement fan when the furnace is off. ---------- Ideally, the manufacturer should build a camper heating system to operate in this manner. Additionally, a thermostatic switch could be physically located in the basement and wired in series with the manual switch. 2021 Arctic Fox 1150 '15 F350 6.7 diesel dually long bed Eagle Cap Owners “The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity." -Yeats |

Converted our stoves manual spark generator to battery powered electronic ignition, primarily to add an electrode to oven. No more laying on the floor to light oven. Following 12thgenusa's thread fairly simple conversion. Also added. per anpother suggestion, a small mirror to oven door for verifying oven pilot lit.. Nice-push the silent button lights burners almost instantly 1st or second spark. But even more nice is lighting the oven while standing. Oven lights 1st spark everytime with single button push. One of those 'why didnt I do this years ago' mods-
