I'm in need of a little info. My son is interested in possibly getting into the oil field catering business. Can anyone provide me any info as to companies that provide food catering to any of the south TX rigs? I've found two or three online, but they seem to be more into offshore catering. Thanks in advance.

Based on the limited meals we have been fed; I hope you go for it. There are a limited amount of stores in the area as is. Good Luck!

To all of our friends on their gate during the Christmas season, may you have a very Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.

Don/Shar, that picture is too cute!!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone!

I hope your gates are nice and quiet for the holidays. We are about to TD, so we will probably be setting casing...maybe on Christmas Day if we don't have another gas blow-out. The rig has been trying to drill the last 5000 feet for the last two weeks and keep hitting gas.

We were feeling left out with seemingly everyone getting gifts for the holiday season. Well, the floodgates opened. The landowner brought us something to drink (-:, tamales and sausage. Then the company man gave us a turkey and the rig clerk a chicken stuffed with shrimp etouffe. Woo Hoo! If you're near Gillett, we'll feed you!

That chicken sounds good!! We had to start giving away some things..Packs of soda, cheese, and candy, we didn't need that much junk food. We did get some non-food things also, flashlights, hats, calendars and pens. Oh, and a set of candles. Got lots of ham..no turkey.

Happy New Year to all my fellow gate guards!! Hope everyone's mud is dried up and you are enjoying this great weather. We are finally moving to our new site Sunday. This well took almost 2 months with everything that went wrong. We are only moving a few miles, but we always look forward to new scenery. We will be ther at least 2 months because they will drill 2 wells there.
I hope all of you have a great 2012!!
